My cats love to be brushed. They will just purr and come running when they see me with the cat grooming brush. I dont mind brushing my cats and they seem to love it but I hate to get poked with those hard bristles when i try to clean the brush. I found a great way to make the task of removing cat hair form the brush. Simply put a piece of old pantyhose over the head of the brush before you begain grooming the cat. The hard Bristles will poke through the hose and all you have to do is pull up on the pantyhose to discard the hair.

That's a good tip. I have six cats and I am constantly brushing them. Needless to say I am constantly cleaning the cat brush to. This will make it so much simpler for me since I have a bunch of old pantyhose. I knew there was a reason I was keeping all of it..lol

I wish I had known this tip when I first brought my kitty home. It would have saved me many stuck fingers.

My cat loves to be brushed.. She lets me lint roll the loose hair off of her too.

Long haired cat - Along haired cat is beautiful, but requires lots of brushing to maintain that soft, fluffy coat.
I like that tip a lot. I have one kitty with extraordinarily long fur.He loves the brush. Combing and brushing help keep down on fleas as well. I will have to give this tip a shot. Thanks for posting. I would like to try to make it work on the flea comb, too. I think it might.

That's a great idea. I have to brush my cat almost everyday because he sheds sooo much. I also have to clean the brush out like every five or six strokes and my fingers actually get sore sometimes from cleaning out the brush. I'll be sure to give this suggestion a try tonight when I brush him.

This is a great one because I brush my cats mostly everyday and I do hate getting scratched from the brush.I dont understand why they like getting brushed because it must hurt to get brushed.LOL

This is pretty good, however, I use the hose cut up in the garden for tomato ties. a la Jerry Baker. I suppose the part not used would be the part to save for this and then there would be even less waste and more use of a discarded product. Thanks much for this idea.
