Another rotten Wednesday

Well, you might remember I was complaining last Weds how the city took my trash barrel. Well, today I had a FLAT! The good part was that AAA came quickly enough that I managed to buy a new tire before Discount Tire closed. And, at least it was the day before payday so I had the money to replace the darn thing. The disgusting thing is I was PLANNING on getting a new one tomorrow anyway, but NOOOOO, first I have to have a flat!! And the guys at discount tire didn't put my spare back so I had to do it! I'm not a young thing anymore, I'm 50+ with bad shoulders, putting it back was a PITA! But I did it!

I'm sorry to hear about your luck. Crap like that happens to me all of the time too. I'm glad that you got it fixed though. It always seems to be something happening. Never a dull moment here either. I would have been very mad also if they didn't put the spare tire back. It is very hard to find good people who have good, quality service any more these days. We have put alot of money out on our vehicles and got ripped off a few times. There just doesn't seem to be good qulaity service any more, anywhere.

well at least you did it and that is the main thing. I don't even know how to change a tire, well I never had a car either. So you are that much a head of me!

Well, Austin has lousy city transit in the first place, and then we are talking Texas where distances are messured in hours not miles.... I've had 2 roommates who didn't/ don't drive, the current one because they just don't let blind people drive.... A car is pretty much a necessity.

it really seems that no one has respect for anyone now days.Im sorry about all your bad luck ,when it rains it pours and it does take a toll..Those guys at discount should have put your tire back,but since they had no respect, i guess we are just going to have to step up and start telling them what to do,it should not be that way but people will just walk all over you sometimes...Those people at discount are suppose to be full service...

Really, maybe they figured that since they were basically closed I wouldn't come back. They were right, I was almost home by the time I noticed it & I wasn't going back tomorrow morning to have it done... some days all you want to do is get home & go to bed.

I had a pretty rough Wednesday too. My cell phone call me to tell me that I had exceeded my call plan by $300 for the last month and I probably needed to consider a new plan. After that, I had a run in with my insurance company....for some reason they dropped my car insurance because they said they hadn't gotten a check. Funny, since for the past four years it has been automatically deducted from my bank account. After that got straightened out, it started raining, became very windy, and we lost power. But it is already Thursday on the east coast and although I'm in the midwest on central time...I'm going to say goodbye to Wednesday!!!!

You had a bad day and those are hard. But you looked at the positive side somewhat also. The fact that AAA came quickly and the fact that it was the day before payday and also that you accomplished getting the spare back in. I am 57 and I know that isn't easy. I hope things get better. I will say a prayer for you.

Well, so far March has been pretty good. Started off with a meeting with the health care people on the 1st and my first real day on the new job. Now, almost a week into it, I seem to be doing all right, the actual person I'm working for is an old friend so she knows that I also have to consider my mom in the mix. Now, if the dogs will quit barking in the middle of the night!!!
