now that millions and millions of people are selling on ebay, is it still possible to make money on there. it seems that it is the place to go to pay the cheapest price possible for the item you are looking for. often that price is so low i cant imagine that they are making money. I dont want any get rich quick spammers but would like serious responses only. thanks

Yes you can especially if you have an eye for a bargain. There are lots of places you can buy merchandise from to resell like www.liquidation.com. I can't wait to do ebay when I am back in the US.

I have been an ebay member for 3 years now and started selling on ebay about a year ago. I have found that a lot of things that I really didn't think would sell have bought good prices where things that I thought should sell good didn't even get a bid. I try to search and see what ebay list as hot selling items and then look them up the catagory and see what in that catagory seems to be selling good. Then if I find similar items at a good price at a garage sale or thrift store I buy them to resale. The same way I did when I use to sell at flea markets. It's like everything else the supply and demand determins what you can get for an item. By accident I ran across a large lot of highly collectible items which a family member asked me to see if I could sell on ebay. I did a little research and put them on a few at a time so as not to flood the market and have done extremely well. We have made several thousand dollars on them. I have checked other auction sights, antique stores, collector books etc. and the prices I am receiving seem to be really good. I am looking for another bonanza to replace them with when the supply runs out. I only hope I can be so lucky to find something else. So I just think it all depends on what a person has to offer for sale.

im an ebayer, ive been with them for 2 years. so far so good. i can make money there. however you should be very careful when you deal because not all poeple are good. so you have to be very strict but kind. you have to be firm with your dealings. i dont do meet ups there for security reasons. what i do is the shipping is shouldered by the buyer though sometimes i do free shipping with i want the items to be easily disposed. its also fun i mean with packaging your item and when its appreciated i love to hear from their feedbacks. but be careful also because some ebayers are not so kind when giving feedbacks.

I think ebay is pretty well a buyers market. Especially because ebay is always is always promoting how cheap things are. I've had quite a lot of experience in ebay in the past and I truly believe you can still make money, but there is a certain way to do that. You must sell items that are as rare as possible. If you are competing with several dozen other people selling the same item, it turns into a buyers market instantly. If what you sell is rare, and you are the only one selling it to the entire world, then it is a sellers market.
