I found that being outside in the fresh air whether it is raining or not helps, but more so with exercise. However I know a lot rely solely on medication, I did for a long time but I changed my eating habits from non-processed food to fresh food which is natural and it did wonders. What have you tried or are trying or know works?

hai ya my suggestion for this is to be in a place for atleast a week which u like most i mean which gives a excellent and pleasant feeling somewhat scenery places.. and other thing is to think all the good memories u had until today..and hear some melodious music its more than perfect to listen music..be positive in what u do..keep ten min for meditation in the evening times preferred at evening six...go for walk at evening times..grow ur friends circle....enjoy ur life and dont think about this word "DEPRESSION" and think that it wont have happened till now and wont have in future...and always keep the motto "be yourself" dont let the past things sit in ur mind be happy always...

I've noticed that eating mainly organic foods really helps. Exercise is one of the best medicines for depression. Prayer is another major factor!!!

All those chemicals can't be good for you, so organic must help.

Exercise really helps though it's the last thing you feel like doing if you are seriously depressed. changes in diet can also help as not getting the right nutrients contributes to depression. I lived in an isolated location and moved closer to the town that helped as I felt more inclined to go out as everything was closer.

Isolation is not what somebody with depression needs, wise move to be nearer to more activity and people.

Whenever I'm depressed, being with people and giving/getting hugs are things that cheer me up. I think being all alone while depressed makes it worse.
