that experience where you knew you still have money but finds out none. it maybe like fell from your pocket or your wallet is missing, etc. last time, i was into paying my bus ticket when i found out my wallet was snatched from my bag. good thing i have my cousin around to pay for my fare, i didn't know what to do then if he's not there.

I've never lost money. I have had it pinched from me by idiots, pickpockets and sometimes the odd so called friend. Oh wait. as a kid, I did lose a twenty pound note and I actually searched the store and found it in my sleeve arm. laugh out loud =) Kudos, ~Joey

I used to loose my wallet when I was young, I would loose it at least once a month, this happened for about 4 years or so, I was lucky a lot of the times but sometimes the money was gone, I think a time or other it never showed up. I would usually loose it because after getting in the bus after school I had a bad habit of placing it besides me and when I would get up I would forget it there, that would happen other places too with many things like umbrellas, cellular phones, I would loose my head if it wasn't stuck to my body!

next time, you need to put a tie on your things so it wont be gone anymore. :) joke! hope you'll get over on forgetting such things. thanks!

I have lost money, my purse and everything inside of it which included a camera, pictures, and my social security card. I took a vacation with my parents and we stopped at a rest area. I sat down on the bench while everyone else went to use the restroom. When they came back, I went to the restroom and left my purse on the bench. I forgot all about it. We all got back into the van and left to go to our vacation destination. We got about 40 miles from the rest area when I had noticed I left my purse. We turned around and went back to the rest area and my purse was no longer there on the bench. We looked in the trash cans and found my purse and it was empty. someone called my house about 3 years later and said they have my information and my things and they were to return everything to me, but I never got anything back.

Yes, many years ago I was at a local lake with my 2 oldest sons and someone stole my purse. I neede my money for milk that day and it was gone. Someone called the next day and found my purse 20 miles away - the cash was gone but thankfully my checks and ID were there. I think it was very nice of the person who called to let me know they had found my purse.

When I sold candy bars for a fund raiser, in school, I turned around in choir class and my classmate was looking at me and smiling, then she left. When I went to go check the money in the chocolate box, all the money I raised was gone! I was in shock and complained to my friends. I didn't do anything about it and I paid for the whole thing with my own money. I hope karma strikes my thief classmate in the rear end! Maybe she already experienced the karma from stealing my money. As the saying goes "What goes around, comes around".

one time I had just gotten paid and I went to the store and bought something small in price, when I got home I found that a $100 bill was missing and I had no idea where it was, if I dropped it, or if I inadvertently paid for my item with it and did not realize I hadn't gotten correct change. My hubby was ticked...lol. Live and learn

You were lucky he was there. I lost my wallet. I was so upset, as money and id's were in it. But, then I found it on the floor in the car, so I was lucky.

yes and it is so very irritating! Rather than carry a purse to a local street festival and have to keep up with it, I put some cash and my cell phone in my pocket. When I was hungry for lunch, and you know all the WONDERFUL foods there are at a festival, I finally decided among the selections. I ordered the food and the vendor prepped the food for me. I went to my pocket for the money and alas, no money. The best I can figure is that it was yanked out and to the ground when I answered my cell phone. Lesson learned, money goes into a pocket where there are no other items!

I do also, i was on my teenage days at the time and till now the scene was so vivid for me to recall that incident, i was walking downtown with my hubby with a sling bag and my coin purse was placed on the pocket portion of my bag, we encounter a lot of people passing by and go, and when we enter the near department store just noticed that my bag was unzipped already and found out my coin purse was lost then, though the money inside is not that big but still it has value and have worked hard to earn that. But ive learned a lesson from it, from now on i would always place my bag infront on walking dowtown to avoid what happened.

well i don't have an experience where money has fallen from my person but i have lost alot of money due to a romanian con when i was 17, i thought i was buying 20 top of the range nokias at the time for £1000 so i sent my £1000 to this woman in romania not knowing anything about scams or owt at the time and i had worked my butt off all summer for that cash only for the phones to never arrive and i never heard from her again a lesson i learnt a hard way and will never repeat.

Yes. I always put money in my pockets and I know with thisone pair of pants that has really shallow pockets I have dropped money. I've also dropped money in the shops while putting change away but usually other people tell me. I need to get a purse, but it just seems like a total pain, and that I would lose that, too!

I lose money all the time. It's rediculous the amount of times I do it, but I also find money that I was not exspecting sometimes. That's a nice twist, when that happens.

what a deadly coincidence-- yesterday i lost 10000 bucks and today i found this topic, what a great way to let out all the steam.. lol. i had gone to attend my friend's wedding ceremony, while we were dancing, it is a part of our ritual/customs to give "tips" to the guys playin the drums n music! so as i was doin the same, i dint realise that when i took out a few notes to give them the tip, by mistake a stack of currency (Rs10000), slipped out of my pocket! it was too late before i realised it, someone had already wacked it! :( at that time i was too drunk to even cry for that..lol everything came back to me the next morning!! (sob sob!) good topic! brings back all the memories..

Two examples for ya! First off in money area. Few years ago I was Christmas shopping, I had cash of $35.00 to get my best friend something. I was at Target. When it happened I DONT know, but the money fell out and landed who knows where. I DIDNT realize it till the next day. I still called the store and of course NOONE found the money! *sigh* sad day! The second is the case of a stollen planner. I had a planner I'd bought at my bookstore. I was in the restroom at the mall after work and I left the planner there. The planner had my visa/debit card, one check blank, my ID card and all that kinda crap! I didnt realize it was gone till it was late in the night. The next morning we called the mall and noone one had found out. But I checked my bank and found $96.00 drawn out of my account at a car wash and at sav-on. I only had a few dollars up until then! So we had to do a fraud thing, report it to the bank, close the account, etc. Got a new ID and stuff. Now a days I keep it close to me in a wallet. NO more stuff in a planner for me. Sad world we live in truly :((

I actually went shopping with my ex partner when my daughter was just a baby. He gave me $100 to buy some new clothes for her and somehow I lost $20 out of my pocket. He accused me of stealing it and keeping it for myself even when I emptied my pockets out. He left me standing there and I had to go and draw out my last $20 in the bank to go grab a cab home. 2 weeks later he admitted that he'd spoken to his best friend because he'd started having doubts that I'd taken the money, and he gave me the money back. I was annoyed because he should have known better than to accuse me anyway.
