Is anyone else sick of all the "drug" ads on TV?

I've become tired of seeing all the drug ads on prime-time TV every day & night. Before our legislators legalized such practices (early 90's?), drugs were a private thing between doctor and patient. If a patient needed a prescription, the doctor gave it to him...end of story. I know the pharmaceutical companies have profited tremendously from being able to advertise, but are we sending the right message to our children? Why do we tell them to "just say no" to street drugs, but let them be bombarded with these ads that tell them "just take a pill" for whatever ails them. Where is the balance there?

Yes, indeed! I get the "Health Ranger" e-newsletter, and you're right. Mike Adams is on the money...and there are others too, thankfully. Maybe in time things will change, but right now it appears that Big Pharma and our FDA are swindling the People on many fronts, and it is downright wrong...plain and simple! Thanks....and feel free to use my link if you want to. I saw the story about the Chinese FDA official. Yikes! Don't know if I'd go THAT far, but I do think we need major overhaul of our FDA (as well as other agencies & departments, but those are stories all by themselves...lol). Good luck!

Yes, I didn't like them when I first saw them. I have never asked any doctor about any of them. I prefer generic whenever I can get it.

really dislike them, and atcually hate some. but in this society, money matters. we could say nothing more.

Sad to say, I think you're right! Money matters more than so many other things, including the safety of the people being drawn into some of these. Thanks for the post.
