Well, you can't really say our country is a racist country.. Just continue to love it. Don't you think we're already very lucky to live in Malaysia? lol Anyways, it's all stated in the Constitution already about the unquestionable rights of Malays. We can't challenge and question their rights. About the government policy of awarding contracts to bumiputera companies, it's part of the government way to help push bumiputera to be equal among their peers. (although i must admit this is a bit unfair, and some Malay still remain very lazy and not enterprising). Owing to the fact that Indians and Chinese are more enterprising and hardworking, the government can't afford to see other races overpower the economy. That's why you see a pro-bumi policy. Can't question it. The Malays control the politics, Chinese control economy. That's the way that nobody tries to change. Okay, back to the qustion. I still think Malaysia is a good country to do business and investment, if only the limitations and obstacles are removed. We have a strategic location right in the centre of South East Asia, which represents a huge chunk of the global economy. Our market and economy is stable and healthy, stock market is doing good, politics stable, everything is okay. =)

i agree with you about the rights of the malay, after all they are the founder of this nation - i means originally malaysia is the land for malay. always remember and grateful that we are living in such a good country and to those chinese and indian always keep in mind that our ancestor is not originally form malaya. we came all the way from india, sri lanka, china, taiwan to work with the sultan of malay long long time ago. So knowing that since before malay is owning this country we should grateful that at least this country being fair to all the peoples of malaysia.

No doubt Malaysia is a good place to invest & do business. Many global companies use M'sia as their expansion hub. other that excellent location, it's people has total advantage too, M'sian are competent with discounted labour price. However, to concentrate ONLY in Msia is not an excellent idea though. 26-28 mil population is not enough for certain business venture. That is y, just before 97's financial crisis, M'sia aimed sending 5 big corporates to pioneer overseas business venture. however, PETRONAS is the only company that 'success' among all.

Malaysia actually is not a good place to do business as there are a lot of limitation from government. In my opinion, if you are not Malay, your business will be very difficult as projects from government mostly go to Malay company. Although government say everything will be fair, but still the result is the same. But there is also Chinese or Indian who start up their business in Malaysia and really make a fortune out from it. Conclusion is if you not Malay but you work the hardest, you will succeed in your business.

I think Chinese are the ones most succeeded in business in Malaysia. So no complaints. And i don't think the racisme issue is TOO apparent in Malaysia that ones who are not Malays could not make a very good living there. I think Malaysia is okay, though sometimes we do complain. But there are some other countries which are much worst. Some ethnics in Hong Kong can't even go to school because of racisme.

I think you need to be very familiar with the language and culture, start small, be wary of losing money.
