Picture of Coercion

My FIL forwarded me this picture, and I just had to share it! It was taken in Iraq of Hillary posing with a soldier. Please note the soldiers fingers that are circled in red. He is giving what is taught in military intelligence training as the sign of "coercion". It is many peoples belief that he is giving this sign as a gesture to show he is being coerced into taking the photo with Hillary. I found this pretty funny. I know this is just one soldiers opinion in the picture, but he's a smart cookie to have done this, allowing his feelings to show in such a subtle way. What does the picture say to you? Do you think it's a reflection that possibly our own troops think she is out of touch?

I am not a Hillary fan and can't wait to show this to my military husband!
Also, I live on a military base, and NOT ALL, but many are not much supporters of hers. I think I am leaning more towards Obama...not for sure yet, but that's where I'm leaning today, tomorrow may be different.

I think it's funny. I hope to God Hillary doesn't win. We need to win this war, and no democrat has the balls to finish it.

I can't help but wonder, if there would've been a Democrat in office, would the administration have had the "balls" to leave Iraq alone and go after the true perpetrators. if my memory serves me correctly I don't think it was Saddaam Hussein that attacked us. This war is not even ours anymore. Terrorists are not exclusively in Iraq, and they never were. I hope the next president has the "balls" to be able to admit the whole thing was a mistake and clean up the mess he will no doubt inherit from the current administration.

You make a good point about how great Iraq is for us from a strategic geographical point. But to compare what is going on now to WW2? I think the situation with the Nazi's warranted that action, Iraqi's were not on the plane 9/11, predominately Saudi Arabians were. This was a way Bush could seek revenge on Hussein for actions committed against his father and con the American people into being for it due to a state of panic and fear. I'm not saying pull out every troop this instant, but a gradual withdrawal is in order. Iraq is sitting on 10 billion in its treasury to go toward the rebuilding of their country, and yet American taxpayers are still being asked to give more, it makes no sense to continue to fund rebuilding efforts in a country who doesn't want to use their own resources for their own benefit. I'll probably have more on this later, but i'm at work and the phone is ringing...:)

I tend to write my stuff at either class or work, so I know how it is. I, personally, don't think it's about getting revenge for Daddy. It's about making an example. Countries that harbor terrorists will get no quarter. We don't want to just win this war on terror, we want to win ALL the wars on terror. We want to hurt the enemy so badly that they'll never fight us again.

Haha I thought it was gonna be some secret hand gesture but he's just crossing his fingers, like you do as a kid anytime you lie to your mummy.
Their faces say it all, he's relaxed as anything, she's all stiff and awkward. You're right, really looks like she doesn't have a clue!

I think that's pretty funny. I bet that is exactly what he is doing. I don't know many people who support her. Especially people in the military. Most feel that she is too hypocritical on most things involving the military. I'm not saying all feel that way, just most that I know and talk to.
I bet she never even noticed that he was doing that because she was so self absorbed. I just hope he doesn't get in trouble.

I have never heard of the sign of coercion, but that's pretty funny! WOW! I wish I would have known about that sooner. I could have given it when I was forced to pose with the Vice President for a picture when he was visiting Korea.
