Petition to stop the dolphin killings....

Australia
March 7, 2007 5:58pm CST
i received this in an email and would love it if you all passed it on to people you know...if you believe in the cause of course. it is about stopping the senseless mass killings of dolphins. i have included the video that goes along with it but i do warn you...IT CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES AND MAY OFFEND OR SICKEN SOME VIEWERS...IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH PLEASE DONT LOOK AT THE VIDEO, JUST SIGN THE PETITION. it may not make a difference but i believe it is always worth giving it a go, especially if so many agree that inhumane killing of dolphins is wrong. thanks heaps The video http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin The petition http://www.petitiononline.com/golfinho/

Thank you for bringing this one forward tigrashadow, because it is something that we can all do to protect the innocent dolphin from the senseless killing that goes on all the time. I do have to admit that I did not view the video, because I am one of those people who do have a weak stomach. However I took details of both sites and have emailed the information off to a few friends, and I believe that some of them will broadcast this far and wide. Hopefully it will lead to many more people signing the petition and it would be good if everyone who read this passed the sites on to others. That is the way to spread the word because even if only one person in 10 who reads this actually signs that can be a lot of people. Sadly I have to add that I am not sure that the Japanese government will take a lot of notice, but at the same time if there are enough signatures they might bow under the great pressure placed on them. As an aside, have you posted this one on Tweetys, even though it is not the normal there, I am sure there could be somewhere it could go. Another couple of places are EMC (that will shake Eric up and make him blow a fuse) and possible australias.proboards76. If you want, I can put them on any of these forums, so just pm me if you would like assistance with publicising the petition. :)

Oops I forgot to say tigrashadow that I did sign the petition and so did my husband while I was there. Also I will get our son to sign it when he comes home from work this evening. He might know a couple of people that he can forward the details of both the video and petition to as well.

thanks for the idea hon....didnt even think of putting it on tweetys.... after id signed it myself and forwarded it to friends, i went back to the list not 10 min later and there were over 1000 more signatures in that time since id done mine....the power of worldwide email is amazing.... it is definately not a video we can all watch but i added it incase some wanted to.... i was just watching a news update on 10, and apparently a japanese fisherman was killed when a small boat he was on with another fisherman, was flipped by the tail of a whale that they were trying to rescue....yes it was sad and nice to see that they were trying to rescue it...but all i can say is that is karma....

and id like to thank you and everyone who does sign this, i know it may not make a difference but at least its worth giving it a go and it only means filling in a few fields on a website not actually going out and stopping these guys.....its not hard is it to show we care and at least we can say we tried....

The video is awful and I signed the petition and sent it to many people I know so they too can sign it and maybe put a stop to the senseless killing. Shame on them for doing this.

I have signed this petition and I have 5 personal friends not on mylot who also have signed. This senseless killing needs to stop immediately. What I don't understand is why haven't more people on mylot signed this petition? I consider this a very hot topic that should be getting much more attention and signatures.

I have seen this petition before ... and signed it too plus know that a few others have done their bit .. it might not work but if nobody does anything then nothing is more certain than it will not happen. Have you thought to post this one on these boards .... the first 2 of which are Aussie ones. EMC, australias.proboards and adviseoranswers which are 3 that I can think of as it might get you some more signatures. I saw from your comment to Ossie that you have posted it on tweetys but the others are all good too. If you need any information on any of these sites ... pm me and I will send you the details or else Ossie was the one who referred us here and she will be able to give you the information on all of these sites.
