There is this new show on Fox called "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?" I think it's a lovely show which actually helps assess our own knowledge.
Have you seen that show? It comes on after the American Idol show and it is so much fun. The contestants are baffled at simple 2nd Grade questions and I must say I'm stumped too at times. We fail to retain everything we learn as kids.
When contestants lose they have to look at the camera and tell the whole world that they aren't smarter than a 5th grader..LOL Few have done very well and taken home some good cash. Contestants have 3 "helplines" they can cheat, copy or say their answer is the same as the one student they choose to be their classmate.
I recommend you watch that show, we all could learn something and put those rusty brains to work!

I do like it. It is great. It is not something you have to worry about your kids seeing and they think it is so funny.

I honestly hope so.
I do question what I know but this more to do with how I feel. I know at heart I'm not stupid, so probably. I did well in my exams at school + the i.q tests which my school did in various years.
Sadly I doubt I'll see this program although it does sound interesting. Although if you keep mind healthy and active and do things to learn then your more than likely going to be fine.
rusty brains.. hehe =)

Nice post again. I just rated you with the +. Thank you.
I will have to go watch the show, I hadn't heard of it. Doesn't surprise me though, as adults have so much stress on their minds. Thanks dear.

My family watched that show too, and had an awful time trying to figure out how many cups were in 5 1/2 gallons. We had all ages working on the questions and the whole family had a good time watching the show together. The kids thought it was funny that I didn't know some of the answers, but they didn't know all of them either and it's been a lot longer since I was in the 5th grade.

I've never heard of this show but it sounds interesting. I know there are times a 5th grader is smarter than me - they are all just way to smart so young these days.

I haven't gotten the chance to watch it yet but it sounds really entertaining. My sister loves it too and I hear about it on the radio all the time. Hopefully I'm smarter than a fifth grader.

I watched this show a couple times during the first week it was on. I havent watched it since the first week. but you are right there are things that we forgot when we were kids. I think this show is going to be on for awhile. I think i like it better then Deal or No Deal.

I watched that show for the first time last week and I love it! It really makes you think about stuff that you stored away in your mind a long, long, LONG time ago. My parents and I answered each question and we were WRONG every time. It was kind of depressing! Excellent show though!
