Do you like getting comments about you on your profile page?

I do. I enjoy reading the comments people leave for me. It not only encourages me to continue submitting discussions, but its interesting reading people's perspectives of you. What's your opinion about comments on profiles?

i am a 7 month old member here on mylot. and the first comment on my profile i received was when i was a 5 month old member. funny. took so long before someone noticed my presence here. hehe. but honestly, it's okey but receiving comments on profile from people in here really gives a smile on my face and makes my days a little brighter.

Last time I checked I think I had only two comments so I don't bother to check very much any more. I usually get pms from my friends which I think is very nice. It is more personal and I love receiving them and writing back to them.

you got a point alexandria. receiving Private Messages from friends are better than comments. but i am still happy to receive comments. however, private messages are more personal and it's nice to read them and save them. the best thing is we can write back to them and keep the friendship going.

I like them as long as they are respectful. But, I had one guy put some kind of cartoon and music on my profile page and couldn't delete it. When Mylot removed it for me, I decided to delete all my old comments. I will keep current ones up, though, if I get any.

I would like them if I had some! I think there's still only one on my profile page, and that's been there since early in my myLot 'career'.
I checked out your comments too, Juls. You've got four times as many as me....which still isn't a lot!
Do you know anyone who gets lots of comments?

I've seen a few people with a handful of them. I think people may not really be aware that its there either. It's always a good feeling to receive kudos(a kind remark), but difficult for most people to actually give them. I find that when I really enjoy someones discussions and comments, I have the desire to write a comment to that person, but not sure how it'll be taken. Especially being married, I don't want someone to think its a flirtation, when I'm intending it to be a sincere kind note to someone. So...to me, if I can word it in a way that is perceived well... then I leave a comment. I know I like them, so I give them away...is my thinking.
