Could a plus size minority woman win this year?

The majority of America is not voting on talent. American Idol is a talent show not a fashion show. And LaKisha has talent. Its a possibilty that a plus size minority woman can win. Remember Ruben was a big guy and also a minority and now he's an American Idol.

I don't see why America wouldn't vote for her to be the next American Idol. Especially since the judges keep stressing this year that it IS a singing talent contest. Lakisha has one of the top 2 voices. Even if she doesn't come in first, I see a recording contract in her future.

I sure hope that they will vote for talent, and lakisha sure has talent. I also like Melinda and I hope (so far) that it will be between the two of them. However It is a "long" way to go and I might change my mind. Even if they do not win,,I am sure thatthe recordlabels will stand in line to sign them!

While Lakisha is not my personal favorite, I love Melinda Doolittle and she is my favorite for the champion. However, honestly, with Antonella making it all the way to the top 16 and Sanjaya still alive in the top 12, I have my reservations about whether or not Lakisha can go the distance. It would be very disappointing to me if she does not make at least the final 5, if not go further. I believe that only a handful of people (all ladies), are in the front-running. I like Lakisha, Melinda, and Stephanie to be serious contenders. Only Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson are even remotely close to the ladies, and I still personally believe that they are still a notch below. but that's why these theme nights are so important.

There are several excellent singers this season. I think Lakisha is great; however, there are a couple other women that could win the contest. The men this season certainly have disappointed me and I don't think any of them are likely to win.

I like both Lakisha and Melinda Dolittle. It will be a tossed up between them two. Jordin Sparks has potentials too. But all I know is that it will be a woman idol this year. The men are just not that good. I am not even interested in their performances.
