On The Left Or On The Right?

or maybe on your back. No matter what position I start from I end up the most comfortable when I am on my left when I go to bed. I am restless in any other position and switch back and forth until I end up on my left side. What is your favourite position?

I'm a little strange, I have to sleep on my left, right, back and then my stomach to fall asleep..lol If I don't get sleep then again its the same routine, back, left, right and then on my stomach..hehe I sleep best when I'm lying on my stomach.

It is when I wake up in the night that I resort to try to get back to sleep on my stomach after pushing my pillow away.

I'm not sure what's my favorite position. I sleep on my back, my left and right sides. I'm back and forth between positions. I toss and turn all night until I'm in a comfortable position.

It seems you have a restles night by the sounds of it and the reason you get to sleep is because you have worn yourself out with all that manouvering backwards and forwards in different positions. lol.

I do sleep. I just like to move around when I do. The only time my nights are restless is when I'm mulling about something or someone! LOL :)

Yes that is one of the reasons that I find it hard to sleep is by thinking to much. I do try to switch my mind off and have to resort to counting hundreds of sheep in the process but when one of the sheep jump in the air I'm thinking of something else again.

I tend to lie on my left side and slide my left arm under the pillow so in can snuggle up. lol. However, if I'm not quite wound down enough to sleep or have a lot on my mind, I tend to lie on my back for a while, gazing at the ceiling. Don't ask me what that does for me, but it's the way it happens. Then, when I know I'm ready, I'll roll over to my left side and go to sleep. The amazing things is that no matter how much I move in the night... and I know I do, because I do it quite consciously sometimes... I always wake up on the side I drifted off on... my left. Enough of my bedtime habits... Brightest Blessings, Deeeky!

It is amazing what the ladies think off when they are in certain positions. When in certain passionate embraces the wallpaper could do with changing or the ceiling needs re-painting LOL.

I have degenerating discs in my lower back & am supposed to sleep on my back but... I'm a right sieded person. I have a tendancy to sleep on my right side. Mainly in fact I believe, due to my wife never gicing me the other side of the bed. If I had her side I'd be on my left almost all the time. For some reason we sleep butt to butt. So that's how I sleep. I've tried goping to sleep before her, she slides in pushing me to the wall. HAHAHAHA! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Looks like you could do with one of those fancy beds that are double size but are independant of each side and can be adjusted individualy but still be together if you know what I mean.

I also toss and turn alot. I start out on my left side but no telling which side I'll wake up on lol. Think sometimes I just have to much on my mind which makes it hard to get comfortable. I know the times where I sleep like a baby are few and far between lol

Hi deeky, I'm quite strange I always relax until I'm almost asleep on my left hand side but can only nod off to sleep (eventually) on my right hand side, but usually wake up on my left! I recently had a bad back and woke up everytime I turned over in the night, this I worked on average was four times a night! Moving about in your sleep is quite weird, what part of your brain decides you're uncomfortable in the position you are in to make you subconciously turn over?

I actually sleep on my right Side I can not sleep on my back as it puts pressure on my lungs and I can't breathe but I find that I sleep well on my right Side

I am a restless sleeper. I either lay on my stomach or my left or right side. I never sleep on my back unless I am in the hospital which has been only twice. I have sleep apena and have a breathing machine which helps me sleep.

I start on my right side, I think it's supposed to be better as less pressure is applied to the heart but I guess I sleep equally on both sides through the night and almost never on my back.

That is an interesting point you make there. Having less stress on the heart has to be a good thing for having a more sound sleep.
