TV or Internet? Which do you prefer?

Which one do you like more? Why? Do you spend a lot of time watching TV or do you spend your spare time surfing internet? I personally prefer looking for news on the internet to watching news on TV. Internet offers a lot of possibilities to spend your free time: dates, games, chat, watching videos, reading jokes and much more. What's your opinion?

I like the Internet way more than TV (I actually watch very little TV) because on TV you have to contend yourself with what's on (even if you have lots of channels) while on the Internet you can see info about whatever is it you're interested in at the moment. Not to mention Internet is a great way of communicating with people (you can actually talk to them or see them) while the same cannot be said about the TV :)

The choice was really hard. I was choosing best response for the firt time, my first 2 disscusions had 0 responses, LOL. "The internet can bring me TV. TV can not put me on the internet" - you simply said what I was thinking about but never was so smart to say it by myslef, hehe.

I spend more time in the Internet. I prefer to use the Internet since there are lots of things that can be done. The only problem with the Internet is if the provider is down. Unlike with TV, if one station is bugged down, you can still get to watch on other channels. With the Internet, when the Internet provider has problems or is totally bugged down, then you can't do anything bout it.

This is a tough one, im a greedy one though, i have my laptop on my knee and the tv on in the background! oh dear, not looking forward to my electric bill! I like to watch the news on the tv and the soaps however i like to shop on the net! I also like the fact now, that on the net you can watch re-runs of some episodes of you're favourite programme!

I prefer the internet. Why, I use it for email, news, and my blogging. :) And when it comes to news, the internet has so much more to offer. When you turn on the TV in a crisis for news (Virginia Tech shooting, for example) they repeat the same old information all day long. But on the internet, you hear it in different points of view from all the people posting the news on their websites. The internet is more interesting and there's more to do. I'd have to say it occupies WAYYY more of my time than the TV, because I hardly watch shows on TV anymore at all.

I like both TV and internet. They serve different purposes. Most of the time I watch TV programs which I’m interested. I spend my leisure time in checking and sending mails. Every now and then I do spending time with mylot.

It's good way to entartain both watching TV or surfing internet. I personally don't watch TV mainly because it's so passive source of entertain and information. Internet is more flexible. But still I can't see nothing bad in watching TV from time to time, especially if you watch programs which you're interested in, not everything what's on TV all the day. I have friends who turn on TV during surfing internet but they're not watching it. They have TV on almost all the day, even if they really don't watch it. And when I visit them and we talk, they still left TV on:/ It's not good habit I think.

I enjoy watching TV as a form of relaxation. For my real job, I'm constantly working on a computer and I have a home business that requires me also to be on the internet. My home business is growing by the day and I hope that in the near future I can spend less time on the internet or outsource what I'm currently doing on the internet for my home business.

For me, since I dont have internet connection athome, I prefer TV- most common media for non internet subscriber. But if i have internet- i will prefer internet because in here you can search for topics you want to read, for news you prefer unlike in TV it is very limited. But ofcourse you cannot watch programs in the internet which is the plus factor for TV.

Oh, I'd feel uncomfortable without internet connection at home. Every information I am looking for I check on internet. But I don't have TV-set since I'm not living with my parents. It wouldn't be useful for me:) I think it's time-eater.
