I Am Gearing Up For Easter Dinner - Lime Cheeseball

I am reving up for Easter Dinner. I am gathering my recipes, writing my menu and getting readay to be the perfect hostess. I am makeing several different kinds of cheese balls. Now, I do not use MSG commonly called acccent in cheese ball recipes. That stuff is bad for you. We dont use it. This is one of the cheese balls that I will be serving. I hope you enjoy it.
Lime Cheeseball
Basic Mix:
1/2 cup sugar
1 box lime jello (DO NOT USE SUGAR FREE) - lemon, strawberry,
strawberry-kiwi, etc are also good choices- possibilities are only limited by your imagination
1 Tb Flour
Version 1 - Spread
2 (8oz) blocks of cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
1 basic mix
Mix until smooth - great with fruit, pound cake, graham crackers
Version 2 - Ball
1 (8oz) blocks of cream cheese
1/2 stick butter or margarine, chilled
1 tsp vanilla
1 basic mix
Mix until smooth - form into ball - coat with green sugar or you can roll in chopped nuts.

Hey, thanks for this post. I love making cheese balls. I served three different kinds at my daughter's wedding reception. I will have to try these out.

lime cheese ball, well I have never heard of that. Heck can I come over to your house anytime for dinner. I am sure you always have something good to serve. I find you absolutely amazing.

Well I am getting ready for easter too! And that sounds delious my friend. Im having easter dinner at my house. I have a large family and we always take turns each holiday and easter is mine I like it because I hide easter eggs outside with money in them and all the little ones find them. I simply love it. Im going to try your recipe out for easter and thanks alot.

I may try this one myself. Do you know that I have a mylot cookbook? Isn't that hilarious! I love it. Especially since I got them all from my friends.
I will have alot of company this Easter. All of my boys will be at home. And thier wives as well. I hope somebody tells me I'm going to be a grandmother.

Being a Grandmoter is just great. We have 2 grandchildren and I love it. They think Nana and Grandpa are just the best. LOL
