I'm not sure whether this topic has already been discussed or not - but thought I'd post it. How do you express yourself musically ? Do you play any instrument ? Do you sing - solo, chime in with others or with a choir ? Do you play the drums or the bong or just rap beats on your desk ? Do you play the 'air guitar' In my case, I play the piano. I took it up one summer over the monsoons in India and continued it when I got back to Dubai. I even studied Music for my IGCSE's and piano was my instrument of choice - even learned how to compose music :) I can now compose music for instruments such saxophone, violin, cello and viola. I can't play any of them, but my classmates used to lol So - how do you express yourself musically ? What instrument takes your fancy ?

Well, I like playing the guitar i find it relaxing :). Some days I canĀ“t wait to get home, Plug in my guitar and play. All the sress out. I always wanted to play the piano. I had a small one, but my maid stole it from me and now i have none. My piano future was gone. As soon as I save some money i will buy one. :).

I'm assuming then you play the electric guitar ? When did you first start playing ? What is your style of music on the guitar ? Damn the maid for stealing the piano ! Had she not, you might have been the next Beethoven or Mozart ;)

I've been playing guitar since the age of about 14: riffs were what I learned first, then some chords. It took me a long long time to get averagely good. I played a bit of piano as a kid, and also at one point I played military drums at school. But my main instrument is my voice. I just recently laid down the vocals for a CD of Jazz/Swing/Lounge style music. I am proficient enough on the guitar to write songs. But mainly I'm a singer.

One's voice can be described as a beautiful instrument - atleast it gets us some attention lol What is the name of the CD ? I would love to hear the vocals. I used to sing in highschool - solos and choir but that more or less stopped once I got to university. Now I just belt out a line or two from some of my favourite songs, and occasionally manage to do some group tunes at a karaoke bar. p.s. what are riffs ?

I always wanted to play the paino but never could afford the lessons. When we had children, we made sure that they had lesssons. They play the piano and trumpet. As for me, I cant plan anything and I cant carry a tune at all

I find that lessons are quite expensive for any instrument. The trumpet is quite a fascinating instrument - I never quite understood it lol. I'm sure if you get hold of a keyboard and the learning books for keyboard, you would be playing tunes to a T :)

I don't play any instruments really. But I can and love singing. Does that count? ;-)

Ofcourse it counts :) Singing is a beautiful form of expression. I used to sing solos at school and also within a choir. After graduating high school, sadly I never got a chance to sing at university. What do you sing ? Any particular style of music ?
