Today i was so excited because I was going to take my learners permit tese. I am 23 years old and have always been scared to drive. So now I am finally taking a step forward, well I thought I was. Well, when I went their it was 50 questions and I could only get 10 wrong. Well, I got 11 and now I am upset. I feel like I dont want to even take it again. What do you think. Please share your experiences.

I forgot to mention that I took the learner's permit test once and got a few wrong but I still passed. Don't be hard on yourself, however, because I've heard hundreds of people say that they had to take the written test again. I don't know many people that got 100%. Keep studying, if I did it anyone can. Take the test again, don't give up. I know you can do it. Just try. You can only fail if you don't try. So, do it. LOL

I actually passed straight away and that was 24 years ago and I do know they are a lot harder now as my Son did his 3 years ago and my Daughter ids doing hers now. Do not be downhearted you only missed out by one. Practise and then go back again but go back soon while it is all fresh in your Mind and then you will get it right. Fight Girl do not give up.

I took drivers Ed and took the test they gave. There were 100 questions and I got 98 right. I did not know how to drive, but I knew the rules of the road. It took me a long time to get to drive well and the test showed I was an ace, so don't worry, it will stress you and make it worse. Just believe that you will pass it and study well.

I recall the FIRST time I took my "driving test" paper version I was in my health/drivers ed class. It was both dont ask. Anyways. EVERYONE passed the first time BUT ME! My teacher was so sad, and I swear I think everyone heard about it too. I dont know if it was EVERYONE in my class or all the classes either. I was 17 at the time. I tried for my license only once in my life at 18 and I failed for a stupid reason. My permit expired so I never tried to drive again! I am 27 now, last year in January when I was just 26 I got my drivers permit AGAIN after the second test, failed the first by like one point. Anyways. So it expired this year. I never got a chance to try for the test. I was getting better at driving but then we moved. Now I gotta get a new permit and learn the area that I have barely been around in as a passanger for like 4 months. I'd lived in our other neighborhood since I was a baby! Hum. So dont feel bad, 23 isnt so old. I'm 27 and still no license OR permint at this point either :/

Glad to know I'm not alone! I'm also 23 and never learned to drive. I'm studying the book right now to go and take the permit test. Driving is so stressful for me, I'm always terrified of getting into an accident so I just avoided it. I'm moving this summer to a city with no real public transport and I've decided I need to just grow up and do it. Don't be discouraged!! 11 is not a lot to miss at all! You'll totally ace it next time, especially since now you know what the test is like. Go for it! Take it again!

Once you finally pass it, as long as you don't let your license lapse you won't have to take it again. So study once more and really read the book and then go take that test again. Cars can be quite the upkeep however the freedom that they allow will enable to work at more places and make more money. Good luck next time.

I took it only once, Thank God! I almost failed it. If I would have gotten one more wrong I would have had to retake the test. Just read over the book again. Now you have the advantage of at least knowing what the test is about. There are plenty of people who have failed the test the first time, the second time and I know of a person that failed it three times before passing. It happens to the best of us. I know you are upset, but dont let that keep you from enjoying the pleasure of driving. Keep your head up, I am sure you will Ace it next time!!! Best of luck and let us know how you do next time.!

Well I am 27 and I've been putting off learning to drive since I was 17, although it's something I've said I will have to do rather than want to do this year. I can't see the point in giving up just because you failed the test once, and by only one question. That's what the test is there for, to encourage people to study and learn the basics before they get behind the wheel and just like with any other test in life, think of everything you have already learnt. I know it is disheartening to fail at something, but it can only make you stronger and more able in the end. Maybe you could give it a few weeks just to put some time between tests, but never feel like you've failed, life is about learning and you must have already learnt so much to get the score you did. Stick with it.

I passed it the very first time a took the test. Maybe woman gets nervous during the test and forget everything. Both my girlfriend and mother failed the first time, because they were nervous, but they passed it the second time they did it. Don't feel upset.you should take it over and over again no matter how many times you fail.
