Do you shave or pluck your armpit hairs or not?

Plucking would hurt really really bad. I shave but I think there's too much pressure on women in our culture to do so. It's normal to have body hair. Women are expected to turn themselves into something they're not.

it doesnt look good for women who have hairs on her armpit. yuck. so women should shave those hairs. in our country they do shave it. it is such a turnoff.

Wow, what is seen in the pic would be very unusual in the United States. Very few women here don't shave their pits. I have seen one or two, but most women would say it looks gross. So, I would have to say that yes, I shave.

I shave mine every day.....I don't want the fuzzy look....I can't imagine what my husband would think if he came to bed and was touching me and got tickled by my long pit hair =)

I haven't shaved in... I don't know how long. My arm pits and legs both sport long hair.

I wont be caught having a single hair in my armpit especially if i wear a sleeveless top. I usually shave it but sometimes i pluck them also to take off the roots.

I shave my underarms. I don't feel really clean unless I do. I know that some cultures don't, and I guess that's fine for them, but I was raised to feel that armpit hair is dirty and carries bacteria from sweat and impurities.

I prefer to WAX my pits. Of course, in the winter, when no one sees them, I don't care and can let them grow out. I hate to shave them, because it's hard to see, and razor burn gets itchy, which is really annoying. So I get the waxed when I can.

pluck armpit hair? OUCH!!! I shave mine cuz its cleaner and smells better. I wish men would too, cuz it's just nasty and smelly.

I do not really expose my pits, as I wear sleeved shirts and dresses - I shave rarely in the winter but in the summer I do so more often as I find it keeps the odors away better.

why pluck thats too much hair to pluck

well i pluck hairs on my armpit because im so conscious and irritated when i see hair on my armpit...in addition, im so shy to raise my hand whenever i have hair on my armpit :)

I shave mine every day!! I can't stand to be hairy so I couldn't just let them grow!! And I would imagine I would be really stinky if I had a bunch of hair under there =)

I have it waxed. Shaving and plucking is bad.

I have long hair now because my mum wants it this way. But I might cut it after I give birth. I really prefer it short.I prefer to have short hair.. I'm 29 years old and I've worn my hair short 20 years of it. When I was in grade school, I'd wear my hair long and short alternately. After it has grown to a certain length, I'd cut it and let it grow again, and then cut again. Then when I was 15, after I had my hair cut, I kept it short until I was 27.

I shave my armpits every day and wouldn't ever allow my armppits to look like that photo. It's gross. As a woman, I value very good hygiene and that, to me, is smooth armpits and hairless legs at all times whether I am home or going out. I never worry that I will have to go the the hospital and will hairy armpits, legs or bikini line because I maintain them daily. I shave, I wouldn't pluck, it would kill me! OW!
