What is the origin of your name? Why did your parents give you that name? Me my mum and my aunts loved Charlie's Angels, a TV series back in the 70s. One of the angels was portrayed by Cheryl Ladd. She was my mum's favorite because she's cute and petite and really charming, so she thought of naming me Cheryl Ladd. But eventually, they changed the Ladd into Anne, and so I was named Cheryl Anne..

in 1943 there was an actress called Carolee Kelly. So my mother named me after her

Well, in college my mum got pregnant and they didn't know my gender but her roomie kept calling me Ernie Junior because Ernie is my father's name. Well, she shortened it to EJ because she didn't like Ernie Junior. I was supposed to be a boy and they picked out Eric Joshua at first but then my cousin Joshua was born so that killed that idea. It then went to Eric Justin. It stayed Eric Justin until I was born and all boys names were thrown out the window. Erin Jasmine was the one name they agreed on.

Your story was sort of the same with my daughter.. We thought she was going to be a boy so I was set on naming her Cedric Nathaniel.. Cedie for short.. This name was from a cartoon being shown here in the Philippines when I was younger.. Cedie, Ang Munting Prinsipe.. which in English is Cedie, the Little Prince.. I think this cartoon was based on the book Little Lord Fauntleroy (i'm not sure about the spelling).. Nways, Cedie in the cartoon was Master Cedric.. Ok, so we were already used to calling her Cedie, but then on the last minute, I found out after my ultrasound that I'm having a daughter.. I hurriedly thought of a girl's name wherein I dont have to change her nickname Cedie.. I was watching Princess Diaries with my mum for the nth time then I thought why not name her Clarisse (Julie Andrews' character in the movie).. my mum is after all named Claire.. and then I added Derica, from my dad whose name is FreDERICO.. I came up with Clarisse Derica.. and then my mum changed the spelling from Cedie to Cedy to make it more girly..

when my mom was pregnant with me i was the last of 5.. so my oldest sister got to name me and she named me after her favorite song.. tammy's in love... but my mom didnt like the spelling so she changed it to tamy and dropped the love ( thank god )lol.. so its now tamy lynn.. but i named my oldest daughter after my favorite dog...lol i know sounds cruel but his name was sampson so her name is samantha and her middle name is after my moms middle name.. samantha virginia

PS I used to love Charlie's Anels, and the Cheryl Ladd angel was my favorite.

They were showing re-runs of Charlie's Angels (70s TV show) at AXN a few years back and I was able to watch some of their episodes. I think Cheryl Ladd replaced Farah Fawcett as one of the angels when Farah quit. And yes, Cheryl is also my favorite, as well as Jacklyn Smith.. Jacklyn was so beautiful.. even up to now. She appeared in a cameo in the 2nd Charlie's Angels movie a few years ago..

I think I saw somewhere that I was going to be named Christina, but it was just a fleeting thought. My mom liked the Darlene on the Micky Mouse Club and her middle name was also Darlene, so she gave me that name.

Well my mama said that i got my name from my two grandmothers. my granmother's name is Beatrice (thats where they got my first name--Betty) and my other grandmother's name is Rosita (where the second name was from--Rose)
so thats it..
