How do you search for discussions that you want to respond to? Do you go to your interest group? Search under your friends? Go to Hot Topics? or Recent Discussions? I know everyone has a different way of doing this, myself, I go through my friend's discussions and then hit Today's Hot Topics and see what is discussions are going on?

I get my friends discussions through my e mail, then, when I cannot do them, I will either go to discussions with no responses, or new user discussions, because I do not want people to get discouraged. Sometimes I will see one on the top discussions and hop right in because I like it. I seem to always have plenty to respond to.

I usually fo through the list on the discussion list. If nothing jumps out at me, I will do a search or go to my interest page. Sometimes it is hard to find many that pertain to me or something I want to respond to.

i usually go through my email and see what my friends have posted and then i go on to the discussions with no responses, usually there's a lot of good ones there that no one's seen yet, it's just a matter of getting them started. When that's all said and done i check out the hot discussions and usually new user discussions.

For me, I always check on my email notifications first. I will deal in an interleaving manner responses to my discussions as well as discussions started by my friends. If I have time, I will look at those poor discussions with no responses too. ;-)

as i log in to mylot, i get to see first the first page of today's top discussion. and that's where i start. just go through the first page. if i get to see some interesting discussions, i respond to them. if none, i go to discussions started by my friends. and i usually spend most of my time there. if i find it hard to find some more discussions under that category, i go to discussions with no reponses. i'm just like that. that's my routine here on mylot!

I usually start with Friends discussions also. Then I'll go to a friends profile and check out the discussions they have responded to. This usually works out good. If I have more time I hit the discussions with no responses-- then I go to hot topics. These take alot more time- You read all the responses first then answer. I pick my friends on thier interests- so usually I find enough in their to answer.

I actually am notified of almost all of my friends when they start a new discussion by email. I go through my emails in the morning and place them into a few folders. The folders are named "discussions to respond to" "discussions that need thought" and "maybe discussions" the rest go to the trash. I do read every discussion that I receive to determine which file they go to. Then through out the day as I have time I just pop into my in box and go to the folder and start responding to them. After a few days I will delete anything that I didn't get to. As I can't respond to all of them that I pick. Late at night I like to check out new discussions to see if their is anything that I can answer. I also check out new member discussions to try and help, although I find most very hard to answer, LOL. :)

I go through my friend's new discussions first, if I have time after that (which I rarely do) then I go to discussions with no responses, if I don't find anything there then I go to my interests. Another thing I do from time to time is at the bottom of either one of my discussions or one of my friend's discussions I'll find a "similar topic" - I'll go to that then at the bottom of that find another, then another.. It's fun, kinda like a scavanger hunt and never know where I'm going to end up.

I have all my discussions go to my inbox. I read through them and see if I can offer anything to the discussion. If not I delete it. Then I usually start with the first person. Say it is you texas. I will answer all your discussions and then I will go onto the next person in the order the emails came in. Once I am finished these I will make sure I am caught up on my responses and if I have time I will look at the discussions with no responses.
