As soon as we log in to Mylot, we find todays top discussions. We are tend to respond to those discussions. There are many users who dont get even a single response for their discussion. I dont think it is because that it is not a quality discussion but i think the reason behind it is that it is being unnoticed. We usually respond to discussions started by our friends, even if our friends got many response for their discussion we respond. So it becomes like a saying "Rich becomes richer and poor becomes poorer"
Well i usually dont respond to discussion which has more responses, i rather prefer to respond to discussion which has less response and i even keep in mind that it is a new bee.
How about you? Your comments are welcomed!

Not necessarily, I respond to discussions that interest me and have something to say on.The number of responses don't matter to me, as long as I want to share my opinion. Like this discussion, obviously the number of responses didn't matter. ;o)

so doenst the proverb "Rich becoming richer and Poor becoming poorer" happens in this site. I think we should boost even the newbies, after all if we dont boost them then how can they reach to our place :)

Firstly, I go through my friends started discussions to respond. I think its better to see them before proceeding to others. I do respond to those, after friends, who have something from my area of interest and I feel I can give a better suggestion. Well, good to see that you tend to encourage newbies. That's nice. I, sometimes do the same thing too.

Ya it is good to encourage the newbies because there was no one to encourage me in this site. I used to get very less pay and less responses. Only one of the friend in this site used to respond for all my discussion which had zero responses. Now i am heading towards my minimum payout and i would like to encourage newbies by responding to their discussions :)

There I go again being totally different from the crowd. When I get a chance to go onto MyLot,I usually check to see if anyone has responded to my discussions, then I move on to my friends discussions to support their efforts, then onto new discussions and finally onto discussions with no responses.I figure since I want people to read my responses to their question and to share ideas, there is a much higher chance of that happening by staying away from the discussions that have plenty of replies already. But again,I admit to being different.....

Even i do the same. As soon as i log into myLot, first i check discussion that i started, then i check discussions my friends started, then i go to discussions i have responded and finally i go to discussions with no response. When i go to discussions my friends started, i dont reply just like that. First i will see whether they have enough responses. If NO then i respond :)

ok fine, so if you find a discussion which catches your attention, but that discussion already has enough responses. Will you respond to it???????

I do not distinguish between the two. For me, I will look out for topics in which I am interested in and can give a proper response. So sometimes these might be top discussions whereas others might be those without any responses.
But I think it's partially true that the top discussions tend to attack a lot more interest and so they get more responses. You're right about that.
