ARGH!!! I quit!

Don't feel bad I have been having the same problem with mylot this evening I keep getting the page can not be displayed error I spent about 8 mins typing up a long discussion to hit enter and get page can not be displayed no way I am typing all that again tonight it will have to wait till tom. By the way I have Cable internet and a new computer with windows vista so I'm sure it's the site

Not three minutes ago, I also experienced that. There must be some system error with mylot. It happened all the time. I was supposed to go in your other thread when things went a little crazy. Be patient. Everyone does have to face this kind of glitches.

Awwwwwww Esther sometimes that does happen lol I have had that a few times but I have to agree it is time for bed when that happens lol Do you clear your Cookies and that every night? And do you do a Disc Clean as sometimes that could be the Problem. Oh dear well I hope it is better when you come back on.

I have found this at certain times of the day it takes longer to open a page or submit responses. It sometimes happens when there are a couple of people responding to the same discussion and I think there are a lot of people on mylot now so it could just be congestion.

yeah that really sucks. more worst when you ahve all this idea in mind and ready to burst to type then after long minutes of waiting for the page to upload suddenly you realized all the idea is gone..ate by that time of waiting. jsut a few minute a go it happens to me. i guess the traffic here are getting worst.

That is also happening to me, but I am blaming all my family members who are logged in with there laptops. There is four going at the moment and one of them is downloading movies. I am sure there is another downloading music, so I can't really blame myLot. Maybe it's a combination of both. Who knows. It usually works better in the mornings when I have the internet to myself.

The site opens just fine for me. It could be something with your security settings in your internet options.. You might want to see that you can accept cookies etc.

I was having this problem last night as well and got tired and went to bed too. LOL It was really slow last night and gave up and started playing some computer games. The site must have been either too busy with volume or there was a glitch going on. It seems to be working okay now though. My computer is slow and needs more RAM but usually it is not that slow.

That does not happen to me often, but when it does, you are right, we might as well quit. I do not know if it is the traffic on myLot or something closer to home. I had some trouble with some pages loading last night, so I did not stay on long.

Every site has trouble and Mylot is no exception. I am sure you could go do other things and come back later. Our Avast antivirus found a few Trojans yesterday and our computer is much better now. Might make a difference if you have a laptop too. They get too warm and balk at performing. I hope things go better for you from now on.

Sometimes MyLot does that on my computer .. I've always been told it something to do with the way a web site is set up .. and in the way it uses the RAM on the computer .. it's something that's generally not set up right by the web site ...

I don't know, it works fine for me lately although last month i had many times when it's frustratingly slow.. I hope all is working fine for you now :)

This always happens to me, even at work where I have a super fast connection. If I try to access MyLot in my lunchbreak, it can sometimes take half an hour just to sign in, and view one page. Madness! I always end up multi-tasking because I haevn't got the patience to sit here waiting - it's like watching paint dry! LOL!

The slowness may not have anything to do with your computer. It could be due to the weekend heavy traffic.... Weekends - when everyone is busily logging in.

This tends to happen here on mylot because of all the traffic here. And there nothing you can do but be patient.LOL And thats someithing I donet have is patience, I usually leave here for alittle while and when I come back things are alot better. Is not worth getting yourself upset.

maybe too many viruses it does sometimes with the pc of my sister...or maybe many lot users are online

I'm having the same problem. Closed my window and came back in and it was a little better but still way slow - which is normal for me on dial-up but is worse the last hour or so. LOL I'm multi-tasking while I wait for pages, working on some blog posts and article ideas :)

my dear I had the same problems at the beginning this morning...maybe they are simply having some problems with the site..it may happen...don't worry because it seems that everything is ok now...at least I don't have problems anymore and I do hope it is working for you as well have a nice day and enjoy your day
