Okay, this is really easy and extremely good. You can bar b que it, or broil it in the oven. Or fry in the pan, with the lid on. All you have to do is take your ground beef or poultry, and form into a thin patty. On top of it, about 2 tpbs. put on your favorite fixings. (raw or fried onions, mushrooms, cheese, chilli, whatever.) Then form another thin patty and put it over that, make sure to seal the sides up very good. That's it. You will love this new twist. And, you can put inside mayo or ketchup if you like too.

We have done this, and it is really good. This discussion is making me hungry for barbeque season. Summer, and woodchip smoke, and pickles, and burgers, and who else is getting hungry? Thanks for the good idea.

That is a new twist and a good idea as I could do that with hamburger steaks. Just make them a little bit thicker.

Stuffed burgers are a great thing. Easier to build a sandich that way and excellent on the grill. That season is fast approaching. There is no end to the things that could be put into the middle so it makes it a good thing when you have several in the family or several friends over for a cook out. Thanks much for sharing this with all of us.

It's a nice surprise, if you vary the burgers with different fillings too.

This is a keeper. We bbq alot in the summer as it gets so hot here I don't like turning the oven on. I might even get the fixings and make it next week and use my george forman grill. I love all these receipes.

I'm glad. This one is especially nice and easy. It's a nice surprise to find out what is sealed between the patties.

Well Margie, that is just too cool! Why have I never thought of that? What a great way to do hamburgers, especially if they need to be transported. That way you don't have to carry the onion, mushrooms etc..they are already in the burgers! Kids would get a thrill out of that too, biting into the burger and finding something! Just a wonderful idea!

I'd call it a meat scallop ... years and years ago I had fish scallops in Yorkshire .. 2 thick slices of potato with a thin slice of fish in between battered and deep fried wonderful .. Anyone from Yorkshire Can you still buy fish scallops ??

Wow, that sounds interesting. I can get the scallops in the USA, not a clue about Yorkshire. Check in the frozen department, or ask the manager if they can get them for you.
