Two months ago, I looked at my profile, and Surprise! There was a fun, glittery message at the bottom of the page from one of my new friends. I found this funny, as I had never seen anything in that section before. Then I saw several discussions about "comments from my friends". A friend of mine asked about them, and I left her one, so she could see the box, and I even left some for other people, but I could not find the box on everyone's profile. I just did not get it!! --- To leave a comment for a friend, you have to BE their friend, that is, not just feel friendly towards them, but actually be on their approved friend list. Duh! I really like the great messages I have received. I love my myLot friends. Learning new things everyday is a great way to prevent alzheimers--she says with a smile.

I've seen some lovely, glittery, pretty, messages on people's profiles...not my own :( but on one there was a reply from the owner to please not do it as they didn't like it for some reson I cannot remember and they could not delete it. That just struck me as a bit unfriendly somehow. The cynical side of me was amused however.

Gee, I never noticed that feature. I hardly ever go back to my profile page, maybe I should look at it once in a while and reciprocate (if I've gotten any.) Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know that all either.

Gerty, You really must enjoy being here. I know I sure do. Keep learning, that is one of the best ways to stay young-at-heart. I especially like your comment about preventing Alzheimers Dementia, too. I have been here since December 5, 2006 and in all that time I have received only ONE comment from all the "Friends" here.

Not only that, you have to have reached the 500 posts mark, to be able to include a photo on your friends comments.

Hi ya Gerty. I have been on here 5 months and just found out about it. I was very embarrased, as I saw a lot of messages there, and never replied. I never go to my home page. Thank you for posting this. I have rated your post another + again. Keep up the great work sugar.

Yes, it is lovely to receive comments from friends and it's just as nice to receive pms. I like leaving comments for on some of my friends photos but I was surprised to learn that I could't leave them for people who weren't on my friends list, yet I was able to rate there photos. I wish myLot would change this, because by the time I would request these people to be my friends to join my list and wait for them to accept, I would have forgotten about the comments that I wanted to leave for them. Ugh!!

Thanks for the reminder, I had forgotten about that little box. I will have to check it more often and use it to let my myLot friends know that I am thinking about them. I am richer by far than the man with millions of dollars who has no friends!

Not too old - We are never too old to learn and try new things!
A few weeks ago I wanted to get a clock so I can see the different time zone of my friends, when I'm awake, they're sleeping. So one of my friends helped me, I got the clock and didn't know where to past the script, then I went back to her and voilĂ , when you edit your profile, inside the block that says, what's on your mind you paste the script there. So you are right my friend we learn something here everyday, even practical skills:) Now a few of my friends have a clock and when I want to see what time it is in their country, I just go to their page and I can see immediately what time it is by them, without any complicated time zone calculations. MyLot is definitely helping to prevent "old timer's disease":D

I was surprised when I first saw it too (on my page). But haha, I did find out soon enough that you need to be on their friend list to leave a comment. I don't know about the pictures and all though. How do those people do it? Is html allowed for once?
