Paper Costing You a Fortune.....

Does your family cost you a fortune to keep in toilet paper or paper towels? Do they use half a roll of toilet paper at one sitting (!?) or use ten sheets of paper towels to clean up a tiny spill? Mine do! I am constantly buying them in huge packages or rolls.

Actually my family does quite well. I have more problems with our 2 cats who like to spin the toilet paper onto the floor. It doesn't matter which way I put the roll on the holder they get it on the floor. We close our bathroom door now in one bathroom and because the litter box is in the other bathroom we just keep the toilet paper on a shelf where the cats can't reach it.

Haha, no we don't..its only my hubby and I, we don't use an extraordinary amount of toilet paper. I of course use a lot of paper towels in the kitchen. Every other second I'm washing my hands so I need to dry them. We bought Bounty rolls last time and they are almost over. So this time hubby decided to buy the same but half the size, so I use much less now.

Yes, it costs me a fotune for the toilet rolls even though there are only three of us in the house for the best part of the time. But at least I know we are being clean so I don't object to spending money on toilet rolls. I'm the one who uses all the paper towels to mop up spills. I even use them to dry off the top of my stainless steel hob after I wipe it with a wet cloth and I also use them for cleaning the windows and the tv screen. But it is money well spent.

Well, yes. My husband has IBS so he goes through a LOT of toilet paper, and he only wants the 3 ply kind. And even some of the better brands he complains about.
Paper towels, yes, also. My hubbies belief is to wipe up everything with paper towels, rather than a reusable chux cloth like I do.
It gets expensive, but I only try to buy homebrand.

I thought you were going to give us a solution, like reuse it. Hhehehe.:) My husband goes though a roll a day. I can use a roll for a week. And you are right, the cost is outrageous. I gave ya another ++ as always. This is a funny topic, but, I like it alot. Weird, aren't I?

Actually, my family is pretty conservative with their paper usage, with one exception. My son is prone to both explosive sneezes and bloody noses. One often precedes the other. It's not unusual for him to go through an entire box of tissues for each bloody episode.

I know what you mean....I have a family of 5 living at home and we go through 2 36 packages of toilet paper a month....that's 72 rolls!I think they eat it instead of wipe themselves with it......LOL......I can open a roll in the morning and after 2 or 3 sittings,it's gone.....it drives me crazy!

We go through a decent amount of TP. I always tell my daughters I wouldn't have to buy so much TP if they'd start using both sides! LOL My oldest rolls her eyes and my 4 year old explains to me why you can't use both sides.LOL No sense of humor sometimes, those to. I started taking paper towels home from my office. My boss buys huge 20 roll packages so I snag them when needed. Same with kleenex. He doesn't ever say anything so no harm done. My biggest problem is my puppy likes to chew rolls of TP and I swear he is Houdini because he finds them wherever I put them, I think he can open doors at night when we're asleep! LOL
