which is the staple in your house. In mine its potatoes. I think it depends on where you originate from, but I remember as a child, there were always lots of potatoes in the pantry.

Growing up, we always had potatoes and rice in stock. When I started cooking, pasta came into the mix. All in moderation though. Mom comes over to stay often and she is diabetic so I watch the carb intake for her. Now that it's grilling season, it will be mostly potatoes and a variety of rices.

filipinos love to eat rice - We are rice eaters in the family. Well, not only in the family but this is actually the main staple in the Philippines. WE, filipinos, do eat rice a lot. :)
I love to eat all three of them. BUt what I mostly eat is rice because that's our main staple in the house. We are rice-eaters in the family, that's why there's always rice in our viands. Sometimes, we mix some potatoes in cooking. And sometimes, we serve pasta whenever there are parties at home.:)

We eat all three on a regular basis. I try to rotate them so we don't have any one of them two days in a row. I also try to make sure to prepare them differently so my family doesn't get bored. If we have mashed potatoes one day we might have baked potatoes three days later. If we have spaghetti with red sauce one day the next pasta will probably be in a meat and veggie casserole with a cream base. If we have white rice the next time it will be a riceroni dish.

I love starchy food..love all 3 of them.. LOL but I do tend more towards potatos and french fries, that sort of thing. Nothing better than a nice big bowl of warm, buttery mashed taters!! mmmm.. I love to buy these frozen barbecued chicken tenders sorta things they sell at Walmart.. I can't remember the exact name of them..but they're yummy, and if you add mashed potatoes and some corn and the chicken pieces together in a bowl its just like those bowls you can buy at KFC, but I don't put gravy on them, because the chicken is BBQ flavor, and I leave off the cheese just to save a few calories. It really doesnt need the cheese. But..I love pasta and rice too. I tend more towards things like macaroni and tuna salad and macaroni and cheese rather than regular pasta with sauce..but I love that too..and lasagna..yummmy.. now Im making myself hungry with all this talk about food LOL

As a child we always used to eat a lot of potatoes, nearly every day. We used to eat some pasta and rice, but much less. As an adult I tend to eat pasta mostly, then rice and then potatoes.

I like them all, but I may be just a tad fonder of pasta. I definetly prefer pasta & potatos to rice except for long grain & wild rice - love that stuff! With pasta & can put salad dressing (like italian) on it & stay away from things I don't need. I've even been know to put blue cheese on it - yum!!! With my food allergies I have to have some alternitives.

My family is a diverse group, where some prefer pasta while other wants rice. We have alot of stock of pasta and rice in the house, so I guess our staple in our house are both. Although we do we more pasta than rice, but rice dishes have more diversity than pasta dishes.

I actually use potatoes as a staple because I have a health condition that needs a lot of potassium. I actually stopped eating them because I would get headaches. But, it was actually the salt I put on them that was doing it. So, I am eating them again, I just put no salt topping on them instead.
