I thought the number you get after your usename was the amount of posts you've done, apparently it's not, it's rating, anyone know how the rating is calculated?

The number next to your name is the number posts you have posted, from what I understand the rating systems can cause this number to go up or down. Keep in mind that if you respond to a discussion your rating changes but if you post an answer and someone responds to you and you respond again under the same posting your points don't change (does that make sense?)

Rating 395 Member Since 10/15/2006 Discussions Started 53 Discussions Resolved 2 Responses Posted 371 Best Responses 3 371+53=424 Although my rating is 395. Your idea makes sense, but I'm not sure it's right :P

I am not sure either. I have noticed that as the day goes on that the responces posted number does change. I always wonder if someone is checking the posts behind the scenses and as they do the " Responses Posted" increases. My numbers are even more off than yours are: Rating 3618 Member Since 6/29/2006 Discussions Started 48 Discussions Resolved 6 Responses Posted 3451 Best Responses 141

It's a big mystery but I find so far with no referals doing anything I make about 1.5 cents per point. Referrals seem to be a good key, I just can't get mine to do this.

i indicates no of posts you done including your discussion and responded discussions this is what i understood about star rating from mylot guidelines. users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, not user It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user” only indicate how active user are increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid breaking mylot rules!
