i help my daughter to a certain extent.I dont write her work for her cuz she can only learn if she does it by herself.If shes stuck on a question i dont come out and tell her the answer i analyze the question with her.My daughters the type that always says "i cant" but i tell her yes you can.I work through it with her and once she sees the answer she says "oh that wasnt hard"

I used to help my daughter all of the time with her school work. she made very bad grades all of the time because she didn't try very hard. She would always act like she didn't know how to do it just so someone else would help her do it or do it for her. I had to help her because she wouldn't pass the grade if I didn't. I took alot of time doing that every evening. she even now, doesn't make good grades and we are constantly on her to do better because we know she can. If she can pass summer school, then she can pass regular school.

I help my daughter every night with homework- We go over what the assignments are-- She asks questions and then I let her go at it- We then always check it-- correct it if it needs to be. Each year my daughter brings home several projects-- Fun fun-- these are usually family projects-- So my sig. other, daughter and myself do these- Bonding time. My daughter is 10-- how old is your son?

i dotn disagree with helping your children but u shouldnt be doing it frequently children need to lear on their own so they can be prepared for life. By letting your child learn how to fend for himself it will help him lear how to do things better like take writting for example if u dont help him and make him/her do it all by themself they're bound to get better by writing a lot
