Was anyone else disappointed with the Stargate SG-1 Finale?

%SPOILER WARNING% The series finale aired on Sky One here in England last week. For those who did see it I wonder who else was slightly disappointed with the way finished the series. I know that there will be movies that will continue the storyline but I don't think they did enough in the episode that really addressed the end of the season, if not the complete series. There was no resolution of the Ori, and infact the episode, for the most part, was a filler. Apart from the Asgard technology, it didn't progress the story at all. The episode could have fit in another week and could have continued on with disrupting anything. I'm curious about other people's opinions on this.

It didn't progress, because they have a couple of movies in the pipeline, but you probably won't be happy with those either, why? well in one apparently, Baal goes back in time and stops the Stargate project before it ever begins how crap is that, it just makes you wonder why after 10+ years, have they just all gone crazy??

Vala and Daniel - Vala and Daniel from the last episode
I liked it but it wasn't what I expected for the very last episode. I did think it was pretty darn good though.:) Can't wait for the movies to come out next year.

Is it the final episode ever, I think that the original Characters Daniel, Carter, O'neil and Teal'c, with tha General Hammond are my favourite characters, and I dont watch it often, so Thats is why I prefer the originals listed above like.

As a fan of the original movie and the series I will really look forward to future movies and will be sure to add them to my collection of dvd's. The series finale was disappointing but maybe they will use the movies to clear up any loose ends. I trust the makers of this show not to let us down on this as I need to know what happens.

I was dissappointed, dont get me wrong I liked the espisode itself, it just left me asking too many questions. I figured that this just meant the end of the team, you know, that they would all retire and Atlantis would carry on the legacy. But when it all ended I screamed. Left in the balance, where were they going, what were they doing? I still want to know, I just heard about the movies on this site so I hope that they do the show justice. I would be even more of a dissapointment to go all this way and have such a hit and than have the movies flop. Maybe they will answer some of our questions in Atlantis! One can only hope.

I haven't seen it yet. It doesn't sound like it's anything to look forward to. So, there's going to be movies to continue the story, huh? I don't know if I like that.

I don't remember seeing the finale, but from the way it sounds if I did I would've remembered. Somehow I think that a movie following a TV series never works out too well, never really worth watching. Then again that's just one person's opinion.
