I wasnt born until 1990, but the more I learn about the 80's the cooler it seems. The clothes, music, style, ect. all seem so carefree. Does anyone else think the same thing?

I was born in the late 60's so I was a teenager in the eighties. I loved the eighties. I loved the music, style and just about everything.

I have fond memories in the 80's, and I can I did enjoyed it though I am still young. I like the tv shows back then, the environment and the nature, the people, and of course, the music. I remember one time where I was preparing for grade school, there was a revolution happening here in our country(Philippines). It was the most peaceful revolution that awed the whole world, hence EDSA People Power became philippines' inspiration to all the nations that strive to make their country to live peacefully..

When I was a kid, the 50s and 60s were considered cool. It seems like all decades "come back" about every twenty years (or a generation) later.

I think it's always easier for a decade to seem "cool" or "carefree" when you weren't living in it. I was born in 1970, and the 60s always seemed fascinating to me. I do still like 80s music. The styles kind of make me laugh now, especially mullets. Also, those of us who remember it fondly tend to edit out the bad things--like we were kind of worried that the Soviets might nuke us and the stock market crash of 1987.
