Taking a Couple Days Off...

There is no doubt at all, in the short time I've been a member of myLot I have become addicted and except for the day I couldn't get online I have been here for a good share of the time daily.
I realized today I have not done my finger nails since I joined myLot and that is not like me but I can't give my nails time for polish to dry and type at the same time.
I've also let some things go such as the list of 15-20 ideas for articles, work on my book, and my house. As spring will be here soon I need to get my 'pre-spring' cleaning done - I always do this because when spring does arrive I will want to be outside, not in the house cleaning closets or cupboards, or the spare room you can barely walk through.
So, I have resolved to take 2 days off from myLot. I will pop in from time to time but will not be doing many responses.
If anyone has any prayer needs or just want to say "hey girl how ya doing" or "get back to work" please feel free to leave them here.
When your not on myLot do you wonder what is going on? Do you think of your friends here? Do you take regular breaks from myLot or are you like me and here every day?
Leaving you with my favorite verse -
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I really hate to burst your bubble but if you pop in at all you are going to find a discussion or two that you will not be able to resist. Your best bet is to NOT sign in at all and try to resist logging in all together for those 2 days.
I have tried doing just the reading thing and it didnt work for me at all. I ended finging 1 discussion and it ended up that I stayed for a few hours.

I assumed that you had already left mylot. You were one of my first Christian friends and one day I looked and you were no longer on my page. Apparently, I said or did something to offend you. You left my page right after I did the piece on homosexuality. Oh Well, what ever.

I know that we have never met, and may never this side of heaven, but I have this feeling that if we lived in a town close enough we'd be good friends. I don't know that many Christian friends that live close to me, but I consider you a friend just the same. Your discussions do encourage me, I may not always respond, only because if I don't have anything of value to add to one, I won't reply but I do read. So my friend, I do understand your need to get things in order. I am in the same boat. I even went today and my husband bought me some new flowers and a couple of new trees and my first official rose bush since we've been married (almost 4 years now). I bought a beautiful Jackson/Perkins white rose that smells like heaven. My favorite verse is Prov. 25:11, a word fitly spoken, is like apples of gold in pitchers of silver. (I love the song Apples of Gold by Heirloom). Have a wonderful week my friend, talk to you soon :)

I'm going to miss you. Besides my sister I enjoy reading your post and seeing you online here the most. I have meet a lot of great people here and you are one them. I cherish you through the Lord and look forward to you coming back.
But like you I tend to be on here more than need be. I have also let some important things go. So I understand. Hope things go well. Your in my prayers that you will not have trouble getting things taken care of.

I am usually on everyday. Sometimes I can only be on for 15-20 minutes but I usually check my email for discussions from my friends. I did take off a couple of days to visit my dad, who does not have a computer, because he was sick. He is better now and so I came home. Enjoy your break but will be glad to see you when you come back.

Well for me this last few days i've been off MyLot a lot, but i pop in several times a day to check, just see what's going on, sometimes respond, sometimes start a discussion, sometimes just read a little, but i've been doing the pre-cleaning too, but i seem to always think about MyLot, or my online group of friends, i don't talk on the phone much it's all chatting haha, so i'm always thinking about being on this thing, though there's lots to do, i'll never forget about this place.
But there's one good thing i can say, my house is soo nice now haha, i just have a couple more things to do and it's gonna be pretty again haha, i hate how cluttered it gets in the winter, i really do...
Tonight the men are gonna help me tackle their junk piled up in my basement, i'm so done with it haha.
Anyway, happy cleaning hun, i don't know about anyone else, but for me, it releaves a lot of pent up tension!
But makes me miss my second home also known as MyLot.
Take care, have fun, enjoy.

Well, there is definately nothing wrong with taking a Break from myLot from time to time to do other things. Yes, I know I and many others have had to do this from time to time as well. myLot will always be around even if you only take time to answer a couple of posts a day.
Good to see another Christian on here, and remember to take time for yourself and God as well as being here.

Actually I used to feel that way, but have found myself spending more time with my family, or doing other things on the internet with my free time. I have found that when I'm on the net I might be more likely to participate in something that makes more money than this site, though I used to love the site in the past.

I hope your nails turn out lovely. A woman knows she needs a break when her nails have been neglected. : ) And good for you for doing pre-spring cleaning. I've been doing that as well, and it's hard to stick to it when there are so many distractions.

Come to think of it Faith, ever since I have joined myLot, I have never left for more than a day. I have been wondering if I should go take a break too. Maybe I should, and see you when you are back. :P
