Is anyone else as mean as I am?

well if it's true that you're mean.... it means i'm as mean as you...lol. don't worry, you're not mean, it's good that you first check it out before signing up. i have already made a couple mistakes and signed up from the beggining and now i have to delete all the mails i receive from those sites. so don't be afraid of doing it from now on too, you're doing the right thing! ;) good luck!

If it is soneone who is a friend, I would check it out, & if I like what I see about the site, I join under them. If a friend on my friends list just sends referral URL's that I had just approved, & it looks like they were sending me a friends request just to get additional referrals, I'll see if I have any real friends are already signed up to that site, & will join under them instead. At times, it is very tempting to respond to a discussion announcing this site with a referral URL with my own referral URL's, & say, "I'll join if you join one of these sites & be active in it."

I think it is very good idea. I am going to start doing that. I don't think you are mean. I am sick of all the referrals that I don't request from strangers.

I do it too :)) But have you ever thought that, on mylot, if you're someone's refferal, then he knows how much you're earning? Because your income will be 4 times higher than what he gets from you ;)

I never have to do that to check out what people referred me to. Their link usually leads to the site anyway and I will just browse for the info I need. I don't always sign up but if I do it will be under the person's link if I find the site useful. I think it's fair, you found the site from them anyway. I know some people don't want to sign up under referrals they are afraid that they will lose money to pay referrals. The truth is the referrer earns from the site itself, nothing taken from referral's earnings. I don't think you're mean though, people can do meaner things than that

Yep I am that mean. I will use their referral URL to check out the site. IF I decide to sign up I go back in with out their code!
