What Do You Consider Good Discipline?

We all know these days lots of children are trying to defy their parents, it's not a matter of "Kids will be kids" they'll more times than none just flat out disobey. What do you think is a good and effect way to punish children that are constantly being respectful and disobedient? Why would you choose this method?

This is tough, well it would depend on the situation, what one parent thinks he serious may not be to another. I handle my children with talks, punishments, (no company; no video games; no telephone; extra chores) But this may not work for other parents, but this is how I handle my kids.
