Whenever I'm in a public place like the park, market, and the like, I get to see many streetchildren who are begging for some pennies to buy a meal or food. Sometimes, I'm hesitant to give some money to streetchildren who look like robbers or rugby-addict. It makes me feel that my money won't go to the right place. Streetchildren are increasing in number each day. The people's money or the so-called "alms" let them live. But, will you give them???

i always see some beggar inn the streets but i don't give them money especially if they insist of having money instead of food. there is also a law here in the Philippines on not to give alms to the poor. i have watched also in an investigative program that some beggar are not really beggar. they just do begging as a job and beggar as a title for a living. i am now more aware of the things people does in order to live and if ever i can see a beggar on the street, no money i will give only food i will with whole heart. :)

i never give those kind of children my money. I find that they are annoying and i am personally afraid of them. This kind of kids sometimes goes in a small group and i alway think that they will rob me. I also don't want to give them money as in my country most of the children who involved in this kind of thing is a foreigner or should i say illegal immigrant and i just don't like to give them money. For me if i give them a money then i am encourage them to beg for money for the rest of their life.

Before i used to give money to some beggar, whenever i see them i feel sorry for their status in life. But after some years i have learned that giving money to those beggar is against the law. I realized also that instead of giving money i better replace it with foods and drinks. We don't know where do they brought the money right?

I do not usually give money to streetkids who go and beg. I buy them some bread or fruit because incidents like these usually happen when i am at the mall or in the market. At least after sharing them with some fruits or bread, you will see them eating these, unlike when you give them money, you will never know what they have bought with the money you give. A more important/noble deed that my kids do every year is that they ask me to cook food, have them prepared into pack lunches and bring these food to the less fortunate streetkids every year without fail.
