I saw this work of art at an exhibit recently. I was struck by its beauty. It seems so perfectly well thought out and completely functional. While something about it seems to beautiful to touch, everything in me wants to have a cup of tea made in it.
Does art ever move you in this way?
Do you consider pottery to be 'art'?

yeah..pretty much.pottery is an art though not as prestigious as painting or drawings but I still consider it as an art. molding a clay and making it into such a beautiful pot is a wonderful work of an artist.Only the gifted ones can do such things.

I do consider pottery to be art, and one that I would love to learn. I like the looks of your teapot, as well. I know you did not make it but for this discussion it is yours. I would probably just display it somewhere, as I have gotten the lazy microwave habit when it comes to brewing my tea. And I would be afraid of breaking it. I really need to go to a few exhibits, as it seems it feeds the soul.
