Do you display family photos in and around your home?

I love my family photos, I have them everywhere. I have pictures of my children at different ages hanging on the wall going up my staircase. I call it my "wall of fame". There are a few pictures of other family members there too, just mainly the children. I have pictures in frames on my desk, near the tv, on 2 walls in the living room and on our built in book shelves. It embarrassed the children for a couple of years, mainly during they're mid teen years, now they like it, (now we'll have to wait and see how our 9 year old handles it when he is a teenager). They just had to learn to appreciate it. I think it also lets them know just how much I love them and I'm so proud of them. I do know some people who won't put family pictures in the house, they would rather keep them in albums, which is fine too, I just prefer to share mine with anyone who visits. Do you display family photos in and around your home?

We have quite a few pictures, but they're mostly in frames that aren't able to be hung on the wall. So we have many of them stuffed on top of our piano. There's too many to see them all. :( We have great wall space, and my goal is to eventually have them reframed so they look nice and hang them up so they can be seen. We do have all 3 of the kids' hospital pictures on one wall, but that's about it.

On some of the picture frames that stand up, if the have places where you can hang them too, you could try to remove the stand. I've done that to a few of mine, when you leave the stand on they don't lay flat against the wall. Good luck on getting them hung and have fun.

I dont even want to count how many pictures i have on my walls of my son lol. Every 3 months for his first year, we got his pictures done, then every 6 months sence. Then i have pictures at least 4-5 pictures from every session on the walls as well. I love having pictures of my family up in the house. It makes the place feel like ours, lived in and well loved.

That's one reason I love my pictures on the wall, they do make it feel lived in and like a home and not just a house.

Yes, I display family photos in my home. Photos of relatives bring back special memories of the past and of the special people who helped to create those special memories. Some of the people may be gone, but the photos remain as a sweet reminder of their impact on my life. It is also fun to look back on all of the changes over the years of loved ones and to see who looks like who at different stages in life. Albums are fun and I enjoy looking through them, but I like to keep special photos on display so that each time I walk past them, I'm reminded of people and events that helped to shape the person that I am today.

In Denmark it's very popular to cover the walls in just about everything; art, photographs, plates, whatever we can find. In my apartment I have loads of pictures if my family and friends up, along with some art prints. Mom's walls are the same.

I love family photos and when I got together with my boyfriend he was in shock from his ex not wanting to put photos around the house that he loved it that I like it, so encourage those that like what you do. With that said, we have tons of photos and I have more waiting for frames to be put on the walls and mantels. I hope one day to have many walls that I can wall of fame as you do.

I display current pic's of the kids and family. But I also have black and whites of both my husband and mine family when we were kids and even before we were ever thought of. Those are my favorite pics though because it's of people that we have never met or don't remeber meeting and they are a part of us. I think it is neat.

I do the same at our house. My hallway is filled with pictures of the kids from birth to current ages. I also do alot of scrapbooking and photography is a hobby. I take pictures of everything! I think it is important for the kids to see how they have grown and for family members who visit get to see ages they have missed.

Yes, I like watching our wedding's picture and also other pics of my family in our flat. In my mother's room, she's also got "a wall of fame". :) I think she feels very happy when she wakes up and see her children and their children's photos in front of her. There's something to be proud of. :) Since we've bought a digital camera, we don't order as many pictures as we used to, but my family and I like to browse our pics in the computer. I also have my son's picture at the desktop, and I change it from time to time. Thank you for the topic :)

they way i look at it if you love your family a whole lot then why not put thier pics up around the house. why wouldn 't you put up the pics of your children and watching them grow up and the changes that they went through through out the years.

I also like to display my family photos around the house. I am proud of my family and would like every one who visits my house to learn about my family members a lot. also, I love to make photos, I have huge photo album that I show to every one who visits me. More photos I make, more visitors I expect to visit.

We keep all our pictures in albums. We don't really have pictures on the walls in any case. We also don't get visitors much. We like it that way. We had a couple of plaques from bowling, a couple of small oil paintings and that is about it besides calendars. So we do not display family photos in and around our home.

I have a large collection of photos in albums but I don't have photos around the house. My brother have some photos of him in a wall in his bedroom. The only photo I have in my bedroom only a photo of my girlfriend. And I don't have more photos of her because she doesn't give more photos.

Yes I display photos in my house. In the living room I have several on the walls and I have some in frames on my coffee table. Down the hall I have my kids school pictures and my wedding picture. In the dining room I have a picture of my parents and a family photo. I think having pictures around makes the house feel more homey.
