What part of your craft do you hate doing?

Many crafts have a part to them that just isn't that fun. In fact, someitmes this thing keeps a project from being finished at all. For example, I love knitting but I hate "finishing" knitted projects. I just have such a low tolerance for weaving in ends, or sewing together a sweater. What about you? What is the part of your craft that you dread doing? What's the part that keeps it in the "to be completed" pile?

I have 4 quiltsright now that have the actual quilting nearly finished. and one that just needs the binding around the edges. I think that if I could find a long arm quilting machine, they'd be all done, but the actual quilting of the top and backing s together is time consuming. I prefer to make the tops and let someone else put them together.

I make jewelry that I sell online, and for me the hardest part is taking pictures of the things I make and uploading them. I am SOOOO lazy about that... As far as part of the actual craft, I hate when I make earrings and I need to loop the end of the wire and wrap it around itself, I always manage to screw it up somehow and the earrings don't match each other...

Definitely, taking the pics and posting them is the part I hate the most! I have a set and a spare pair of earrings that should have hit the store weeks ago, but are still in with my own stash... gotta get those up there. I also hate trying to write descriptions for the jewelry, I have to stare at the stuff forever before anything comes to me!

I also hate finishing my knitting. Weaving in ends makies me crazy, but I don't mind sewing the peices together too much. In fact, I even do that for my sister sometimes because she HATES piecing her knitting together. I think my least favorite thing to do is making fringe for my scarves. It looks great, but it's just so time consuming and messy. I'm sure there is some kind of trick to it that I'm missing, but right now I have to force myself to finish it. Oh, and I hate washing off my stamps when I make greating cards. I know it's not that much work, but I just wish I could put everything away once I'm done and not have to wash and dry all the stamps. Also, I always get ink on my hands when I wash the stamps off.

Oh yeah...makeing fringe is annoying. One trick I use for washing off stamps is to use baby wipes, or something like them. This way I just wipe the stamp off right after I finish useing it and the ink is still wet. It's much easier that way, and the wipes are that wet so the stamps dry quickly.

I just hate the cleaning up part when I'm done. Picking up the little pieces of thread that fell on the floor instead of the garbage. Getting all the little scraps of paper put away. Scraping the wax off the counter after a spill when making candles. That's the part I don't like. Making, creating, and finishing items aren't the problem. It's the clean up afterwards. :) Happy Crafting!

I make bears and I absolutely hate sewing the pawpads to the foot. It's one of those really tricky jobs that not only takes forever, but if you dont get the position of the tension of the fabric just right then when you stuff the bear you end up with lumpy feet. I also hate the whole process of fitting the bear together when all of his parts are ready, sometimes the joints can be so hard to turn and again it's another one of those jobs that you've got to be really precise with or you can totally ruin your bear. Apart from that I love bearmaking - lol!

There are a couple of things that I dislike while doing bead work. One is when either the needle or a lot of beads (size #11 seed beads) falls on the floor and I have to pick them up. The other hing is when I am abut finished with a project and I find a mistake that really show, I have to go back and undo all of the beads up to the mistake and make it right. Those beads are so small and my eyes are not getting any better.

Sadly, for me it's not really the crafting part that isn't fun, it's the photographing them and posting them on Etsy that I don't like. :) I'm just too lazy to do that a lot of the time, so I end up with a big pile of stuff that needs to be "processed" for my shop. I also don't really like making pom-poms for crocheted stuff, because my pom-pom maker is way too small for the pom-poms I need. :)

well i love to knit but i hate having to tie it off at the end when i am done with what i am knitting i mean i am happy that i am finally done since it takes me forever to actually get done but i am not good at tieing it off and i am always afraid that the yarn is going to come untied also when i am making a necklace or bracelet i have having to pry open small hoops to add clasps and charms then having to push the hoops back together it makes the metal weak and i am always afraid that the necklace is going to break
