Anybody ever try to lose weight by munching on sunflower seeds? I find that I am not as hungry and yet I am still eating throughout the day. They also help to stay awkae while driving. Anybody else have an experience?

Hmmm. I know that sunflower seeds are very high in fat and calories, so I don't know if they will help you lose weight. Weight loss usually has to do with calories in, calories out. That satisfied feeling might be due to the number of calories you're eating. Let us know if you lose any weight.

well, a bag of 7 oz of planters seeds is about 700 calories. I think of that, about 500 calories from fat. But it takes me about 1 week to go through a bag like that, so that's only about 100 calories extra a day (70 or so from fat) that I'm takin in instead of eating an extra snack or sandwich that may be a few hundred calories.

There is no easy way to lose weight and the only sure strategy to work is to balance food intake with exercise. It's a boring message but sadly true – there are no quick fixes.

I like them too. They happen to be all salt, fat and potassium. Some vitamins. So for what the packeage from vending is it is 260 calories. A healthy but seemingly fattening food. Pays to read the package and know your names for minerals, vitamins and general ingredients. Good luck with this.
