Would you let others push you around?

If there was a bully at school messing around with you, how would you take it? Would you talk it over with and ask why he is doing this to you? Or would you take it into your own hands and mess him up a bit? Or, what if your friends was asking alot of things for you and wouldn't stop bothering you until you get it done, how would you feel?

I had my share of those experiences, too, although not as bad as those stories in movies. I was a shy girl and I just let those things pass. Perhaps, if it has gone worse, I would tell my parents about it so they could do something. I really wouldn't know how to handle it myself, at that age. Or, I could go to my teacher and tell her what this kid has been doing to me. Now, that I'm a parent, this thought concerns me. What if my kid gets bullied at school. Or, worse, what if my kid is the bully.

I used to be bullied in school all the time by older kids. I was to shy and backward and afraid to ask them why they were doing it to me. I didn't want to start or cause more trouble for myself so I just kept quiet. I didn't have many friends in school, but other kids asked me to do their homework for them. I helped the ones who were somewhat nice to me but I didn't do any of the bullies homework. I jst tried to do my best in school and get home safely each day.
