To all my friends who have rallied around me, I have decided to stay. ;-)

Now, please don't be over-zealous in painting the image and then go trigger-happy and report my post as inappropriate for the sheltered myLot community. :P
When I posted my "Do you bow to authority?" discussion, I was honestly very upset over the uncalled-for deletion of my "Do you flaunt your faith in public?" discussion. After simmering in relative silence for a couple of days, I confess that I might have over-reacted. To some of you, it might have been a mere discussion that was deleted. To me, it was a music of words put painstakingly together that was abruptly ripped from the fabric of existence. Doesn't it sound a bit painful to you? Well, it was, at least to me. I felt hurt and the instinctive course of action then was to leave.
Subsequent to my posting, I read some comments that made me unsure of whether to laugh or to be angry. I will mention just two - some said it was *just* one deletion - so what's the big deal? (See above for why it was a big deal to me then.) Some implied that I hopped onto the bandwagon to post farewell discussions to get responses. This was the ultimate laughter-inducer. Those who wrote this should at least research my track record.
Nevertheless, I have been very touched by the many responses I received at both my "farewell discussion" as well as the one charms88 started for me at http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/927240.aspx . I find myself very moved by the support and encouragement all of you have shown me. Thank you charms, and thank you everyone for your kind words. I would love to list all your names here - those who have so graciously reached out to the undeserving me - but I am afraid I would hit the maximum word limit if there is one. :P
Though I may not single you out, you know yourself and I know you. My thanks, my gratitude, my appreciation. I will always remember you. ;-)
And so, I have decided to hang on at myLot and be a rebel who fights against authority (lol). To those who may sneer at this "turnabout", my rationale is straightforward and my conscience is clear. I really wanted to leave then, but I am now staying (whether or not myLot replies) because of my supportive friends. After all, I am here because of them, not you who only know how to lurk in the shadows and stab when nobody is looking. In fact, you should be ashamed of yourself! :P
In conclusion, for those who have a "righteous" need to "legitimize" this as a quality myLot discussion, let me leave you with one question. Can you say no to your friends? When friends band around you and wish you to change your already-made-up mind, do you listen and heed them?
I guess I am a coward in this. I simply can't say no to my friends and I gave in ultimately. And you know what? I am so very proud of it. ;-)

You can have a hug as you will be among the few friends I will be keeping, I'm really childishly upset that my pretty page has gone and I cant find anyting, so I'm going down to the minimum, a few good friends and special needs discussions.
I am fed up of people here being nasty to one another too, so I'm slowly going to vanish.

let me be the first to say heyyyy! I am pleased you are staying my friend , I for one would have missed you . I like you being here and I enjoy your discus ions and your replies to mine , I am so glad you decided to stay ((((hugs)))). they have even made the site look so much nicer so you would stay lol . I was oblivious to all this (sadly, an all too often state of mind for me). My granddaughter is on spring break so I haven't been online very much... But I'm very glad you decided to stay!!!

Most the time once a decision is made I stick to it, no matter whose begging me to stick around. But there are times where I will weigh the possibilities that friends and family have set in front me, thus possibly changing my decision entirely. Though it takes a lot of effort from family and friends before they persuade my decision in either direction.

Yea! I am glad to see you are staying with us! In a forum like this, people are bound to get bent out of shape at some time or another. Don't let it get you down. Everything is temporary anyway and mylot can only delete that discussion from this website. Those of us that read your post and responded will carry it around in our memories forever. Life is too short! Just keep posting and let everything else slide off of your back. Again, I am glad to see you are still with us!

I'm glad you started this discussion wiz, we really had to shut those users up...they don't understand what mylot means to us and what our friends here mean to us. I'm happy that you've decided to stay and also have given your reasons for it. We all can be impulsive at times, so its only human to overreact. Hope to see more of your lovely entertaining discussions!:)

Well to start with I never seen where any of your discussions that I have replied to where ever in appropriate. No I do not believe that you put out a discussion just to get responses at all. Yes it is amazing how our friends stick by us when we have problems on mylot and thank you as I enjoy your discussions so I am very happy that you have decided to stay with us. Yes I do listen to my friends when they support me and help me out so thanks again and have a great day/night

I was just wondering last night, where are my friends in MyLot? I have been waiting so long for your responses. I thought that you were also gone like some of my old friends here who transferred to other paying site. But i'm glad that you're not.

I love my friends. I don't have words to thank them and all I can do is hug my friends on mylot and can pass a smile which will last forever. I am very afraid of losing friends that's why even if i'm busy I ask my wife to respond on my behalf on mylot. She is little rude and strong on words but not bad. So if anybody thinking that I'm rude and harsh , I'm sorry. I can do anything for my friends is the last sentence I would love to end this response.

sorry but i was not aware of whatever has happened with you.. but i really think there's nothing wrong with the discussion.. and why did they delete it?? i have noticed since i met you that your discussions are really meaningful and let me say,,, full of beautiful words.. i mean, i like to read your discussions... i like the language.. i like the art of arranging those words.. it's talent.. and they s houldn't have deleted that one.. well, in your case, it's good to have failed to say 'no' to your friends.. you are one of the best here in mylot i presume.. and i am glad to be one of your friends, though a little out-of-coverage.. hehehe...and thanks for staying.. i love to hear more from you here in mylot... good day

Oh my gosh! That's true, you are staying! I thought I was just hallucinating! (^^,LOL^^,) Just kidding! I'm very happy now. I was beginning to feel sad because "they" made so much negativity... Too bad that those persons don't understand the value of friendship! And the true meaning of support! And you are not a coward, indeed a great master that values comments from newbies like me, and is not afraid to show it! I'll hope I'll get another virtual medal from you!(^^,LOL^^,) But even without a medal, to be appreciated and welcome as a friend like you did, is more valuable than any trophies! *cursty-bow* (^^,) Welcome back! and start posting! Welcome back wizard and I am very glad that you have decided to stay after I guess a lot of podering! I know it must have hard for you to accept the fact that your post deleted for nothing and I really want to bash the nutcase who reported that thread... but since everything is shrouded in mystery one can never know the culprit who did it! hey how about it ... if Mylot would let the discussion starter know who reported a thread? and then maybe the thread starter ( in this case you) can convince the person who reported the thread about why the discussion should not be removed, don't you think this would be a great idea. I mean even murderers get a chance to defend themselves; well then why not the person whose discussion board it is?
or maybe they should poll all the people on the thread as to should the discussion be removed or should it stay.... how about that? hey in that case none of your discussion ever in future would be removed ..... you have got our votes buddy! But Mylot has to eveolve for many generations before such ideas ever ever get implemented I guess. Sigh!
Anyway welcome back and I missed your very thoughful discussions for the past 2-3 days. I just sighed a great sigh of relief that you stayed back! :)

Glad you decided to stick around? Don't really know you all that well, but you seem like a pretty good guy with a good sense of humor.
I honestly don't know if I've had any of my discussions deleted or not? Haven't checked. If they one, so be it. I can come up with other great topics that won't get deleted!
Okay, to answer your question....Yes, I can say no to my friends. I will do whatever I can for a friend if they need help, but if it's something that will hurt me or is at the expense of my family... then no I won't do it. So, yes I can say no! LOL

Well I'm glad you stayed here with us. It's ridiculous to let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch AND... always remember that it's the net. There are a million things to take into consideration...
1. They don't know you so truly cannot judge anything but the ONE comment you make and what you have in black and white here. So they don't know YOU.
2. They may type it one way but say it another. People often misconstrue an "attitude" with comments that aren't necessarily there. I know that I for one am a total smart a$$. I love to be sarcastic or witty and that can often be taken wrong on the net. So take it with a grain of salt.
3. Some people will NEVER be happy unless you mimick their exact thoughts. Why bother to worry about those types? It's not worth the time and effort.
4. Some people just like to argue. Plain and simple. If you say the sky is blue they will argue it's a shade of white with blue hints. LOL Again, ignore them and let them argue with themselves as much as they want.
Those are just a few things to take into consideration. The biggest though is that this is the net and not exactly the real world. It's soooooo easy to ignore someone on here, literally. I have done it before and when the morons realize that they don't actually bother me, they leave! LOL So who won the battle in the end?
You're too much fun to lose on here! Glad you stayed... and next time.. just ignore them.

Wizard, that is such good news.
I saw Charms' discussion but didn't respond to it, as your supporters way outweighed the petty comments, and that was within minutes of the discussion being posted by her. I also refrained from replying to your other question, in the light of Charms' discussion because we really don't want you to leave Mylot and I didn't want to sway your decision. We enjoy your discussions; they're refreshing, well put-together and fun to join in. You also acknowledge your responses very quickly and it will be a sad day when you decide to quit. You so remind me of somebody else who was forced to leave here,it's untrue... but please, don't starve us of your wit and intelligence because of a few jealous people in here. Rise above it... you will fair best in the long run.
To tell the truth, I was hoping that the discussion asking you to stay was going to change your mind. I don't think you're a coward at all... I think you're very brave and honest to stand up to the flack. Not only that, you have so many good supporters in here, who would really feel the loss. So, well done and thank you for making the decision to stay. I'm behind you one hundred per cent.

Wiz, I'm glad you decided to stay!
It would have been a great shame to lose myLot's most prolific contributor of quality content-- both in terms of discussions, and responses. I remain in awe of your capacity come up with so many good ideas and so many kind and authentic replies to people.
I guess there will always be a little rain on every parade. I was quite horrified to have a discussion deleted, not long after I joined the site... and I had no idea WHY, beyond surmising that someone thought it was "close enough" to someone else's discussion to warrant being cancelled. And I have to admit that I thought "Well, this site is BOGUS!" so I can certainly appreciate your inclination to want to pack it in.
Look forward to more good stuff!
