I know that this discussion have been started long before, and I am starting this topic once again for the sake of those who are sort of confused on their earnings. As I've been seeing discussions about this more often, this will make things easier for you to understand. Newbies that don't even bother to take time on reading it, hence they post questions about it. HERE YE!! This discussion is for all of you (not for me), to those who don't have any ideas on how their earnings are counted. I would understand if most of you would read this post of mine, as I don't expect to earn from this one too. Just give it some time to read it and understand what they have stated there. Here is a link provided to us by mylot admin.. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/343175.aspx If you would allow, bookmark or save it, or you can even add and put mylot on your 'pending friend request' list to make it easy for all of you to access it.

Well in the case of a discussion like this it's worth repeating. I just yesterday saw a response froom someone with over 1000 points saying they never really read the guidelines but probably should...I was shocked. Also now the FAQ's have been updated and have a lot more information on how things work. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx

That's not very surprising my friend, I've seen alot of those because I've been through a lot of discussions with those types of topics. What's surprised me is that, there are newbies that even responds to these topics but don't have any idea what they're talking about. Makes me think that they are just up for their 0.2 cents!;) LoL Kind of funny, but it's annoying at the same time.

that's nice of you to appreciate what raijin had done here for all of us. so, better if we always try to read the guidelines for our own benefit!

yep. i started one discussion before. and it was nice to remind even old members to keep ourselves updated. it's nice of you to remind the new users. they need to read the guidelines for sure. better to have read them than break a lot of rules. they will just end up wasting a lot of time by doing so. you did a great job raijin! take care!

There are lots of discussions that I come across asking about ratings, reputations and earnings. I just thought that this would be a good solution to some of their questions, which some of them never thought of looking at. Thank you marry anne, you take care also!;)

Maybe we can, as oldies, take turns posting this reminder. I will probably also frequently revisit the guidelines to keep myself fresh on them. It doesn't hurt to do so, and it might help.

I've bookmarked mylot's guidelines, and noticed some changes on it also. I've been visiting it now and then, whenever I see topics about newbies and oldies(too) asking about earnings and other information about mylot..

There have been loads of people here this weekend alone, posting discussions about their earnings, or lack of earnings. To those I say, read the guidelines,

Indeed, that is very true!;) Mylot has been saying these all the time, that it is not appropriate for people to post discussions about earnings. They'll never earn from posting it, so better post more good discussions rather than decipher how mylot computes our earnings..

Thank you for the link, I took the time and read it now, but i already figured out that we have to work on quality to improve our earning rates, mylot can't pay the same to everyone or it would not be fair for those who tend to cheat or don't care if their text is useful or not.

Yes, mylot encourages us all to post for quality and not quantity. As mylot does honor our relevant views and inputs, they appreciate members who gives their best effort in participating through discussions.

I'd like to see Mylot have a series of reminders of their rules that randomly appear at the top of each page as a user loads it. They could be just simple reminders, like Check to see if others have started a discussion on a topic before you post one, etc., or even reminders to read the FAQ with a link to it.

Yes, that's really a good suggestion!;) I wonder why they never thought of including it on their latest upgrade? It would be of great help to all of us, especially for those newbies.

This was a good discussion raijin. Many new members are still confuse and in the weary stage and they are still in the middle of doubt about the earnings. This discussion will be helpful to those who overlook the importance of reading the guidelines. Kudos my friend!

Why thank you my friend, but it seems like just a few member took time to read this post of mine. And to know that those only few, including you, are members that have been here for long and that you know some of the guidelines already. Well, I'm gonna bump this post whenever I see a new response. To make sure that would get noticed by others, especially newbies!;)

Thanks friend it had helped me a lot in understanding what myLot want and what they don't want us to do. There is one more link which would also help the new members http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx in understanding what myLot expects from us.

That's good, I just want to help other members here -especially the newbies. Every mylot member should take their time to read the guidelines, so they would understand things more and their questions answered with clearer explanations. Goodluck to you dude!;)
