I wonder that myself. I just started and have only had up to four responses so far. I did make three new friends though. Hoping to be successful here.

I think that's part of the key, too. I've noticed that people who have more friends tend to have more responses on their discussions. But, this is not always the case. People will respond to other discussions that appeal to their interests.

I have been a member of mylot community for more than three month's and have observed that most of the mylot members make friends so that they can answer the topics which the member has started. Till now,I have above 150 friends so my discussions get more responses then before. The highest response I have got for a discussions is 36 in which more than 30 responses where those of my friends.

I have one that has 88 responses. I just wrote out a general topic and most people didn't even read what I wrote about it. But, that was a long time ago and the quality of responses are a lot better. Also, I'd bet that Mylot wouldn't have paid half those people that responded anything because they were too short.

I don't post many discussions here, because I love to discuss about things that happen to me, and I want to share them with myLot members. About a month before, I posted a discussion about a girl that insulted me, and I recieved a big amount of responses - about 76 I think. That's the highest amount of responses I ever got here.

I think I've received 25 responses on this discussion I started in the mylot thread. I guess you can expect many responses especially in threads where there are a lot of members.
