I am so furious at the cost of gasoline. I feel like someone is just stealing my money away. It is up to $2.61/gallon for REGULAR UNLEADED!!! I am in Florida. What is the gas up to where you are from? Do you feel cheated?

Unleaded Fuel - Here is a picture that was taken at the end of February showing the average gas prices. We are all being cheated.
I would be thanking God if my gas was that cheap right now, lol. Back at the end of February we were already at $2.65 I have included a picture to show you. Regular Unleaded here is 3.22 a gallon on average. I did see one place this morning that had it for $3.07 but that was the only one, and the line was out into the middle of the street. I won't be bit surprised to find us here in the Sacramento area at over $4 by the end of the summer. From what I understand the oil companies haven't even adjusted for the summer yet. It really is terrible that these oil companies that profit billions of dollars a year on us, and the government says they have done no wrong. Whose pocket are they in?

Sometimes we don't realize for what we should be grateful. Looking at the prices that people are quoting I guess I should be glad that ours is just $2.62/gallon. I still think that public transportation and walking/biking/scootering is looking better each day.

I'm in the Fort Lauderdale area in Florida, and our gas is even higher. I've seen it between $2.65 and $2.75 for regular unleaded gas here. I know that my sister in the Kansas City, Missouri area pays a lot less, but her prices fluctuate as much as 20 cents a day. She's never sure what she's going to pay because it could be that much higher or lower between her going to work and coming home. But she still pays a lot less than we do. Just thinking about the billions in profit that the gas companies are making makes me sick...mainly because I don't own any of their stock. I'm sure we all know who can afford to buy their stock, and most of them work in Washington, DC. But don't get me started on that...LOL.

Fishmomma, where are you located again? We wake up and if we go anywhere we see the gas prices right as we get out on the main street from our house. I live in Jacksonville (jax) FL.

I'd take $2.61-- Right now in my town it is $2.82 and still climbing! Drives me crazy! I wish they would stop the gas companies from rasising the prices so often- I swear I go to work in the morning and it's $2.75 come home in the afternoon and it's $2.82-- I can't stop buying it- I'm not going to stop driving- So I guess I'll just keep on paying0 but believe me- I'm going to bicker! LOL

I am thankful I don't live in California because gas is insane there. In Oklahoma, where I live, it is about $2.54 for the cheapest. It is not conducive for me to ride a bike or walk because nothing we go to is in a reasonable range to use those transportation methods. I live in the suburbs, but walking is not an option, especially when you have a lot of health problems. Gas is expensive, but I personally feel more cheated by my cable company. LOL

I hear you. I wish it were more convenient to walk or ride bikes here also. When I lived in Arkansas there was no way I could walk to any place and there was extremely limited public transportation. Now here in Florida the public transportation is better but it is so freaking hot in the summer (April till November) that you really don't want to be on a hot bus or waiting for a hot bus.

well here in ohio it's 2.79 a gal. feeling like you're being robbed? don't feel bad....I do too! a few days ago, not far from where I live, there was a new gas attendent and he made a mistake that cost a gas station thousands of dollars.....he set the pumps at 29 cents a gallon.....wish I'd have needed gas that day and been lucky enough to have stopped there! they say the pumps were set at that price for at least three hours and they couldn't figure out why they were getting so many customers not spending alot of money!

We are definitely getting robbed with these ridiculous gas prices. I am taking the bus to work today to help save money of gas. It is cheaper to take the bus. Our prices here in Delaware are around $2.90 - $2.95 a gallon. It is terrible and the prices are supposed to go higher this summer. Those prices are for regular unleaded gas. You have it lucky compared to us and other places. Some places are in the three dollar range already. May 15th is the day everyone or many people are trying to ban gas for that day so they lose a lot of money.

Ours recently went down to $2.84 a gallon for regular. For about two weeks it was $2.95 a gallon regular. I take the bus to places I can to save on gas like to the library with my dauhter other wise we wouldn't go and she loves the library as much as I do. Plus I homeschool her so the library is a necessity. We just pick a day and make it a day to enjoy the library, maybe take in one of the many museums downtown since we are there and then have lunch in the park. We are fortunate to have a decent public transportation system not every one is so lucky.

Here in Tennessee where I live, it varies. I have seen 2.89, 2.90, 2.77, 2.83, but nothing below the 2.70 mark. From what I heard on the news, that national average is going to hit the 3.00 mark. This was after I heard that the national average was going to be 2.81, then taper off about 2 or 3 cents. These oil companies are slowly killing the average person that can't afford to fill up all the time, but at the same time relys on there car to get them from point a to point b. I think if people slowly backed off by buying gas, either by not going anywhere, carpooling, public transportation. Just maybe the prices will go down some. Luckily I can get 10 cents off the gallon at the Kroger's gas stations after spending 100 dollars or more at there stores.

Sigh .. I would be overjoyed if I could get my petrol/gas so cheaply .. here in the UK we must have some of the highest fuel prices in the world .. and at least 85 goes to the Government in flippin' taxes .. And iur high UK price .. well today a gallon of petrol is the equivalent of just over $8.50 a gallon !!
