The countries are in the race to earn more money but the governments are neglecting the problem of poor people. poverty is a big issue and it can erupt like volcano. What do you think?

i feel very strongly about this issue. when governments try to do something about it they build houses. that doesnt stop poverty. it just makes the financial burdain bigger. why dont they build factories for a more sustainable fight against poverty, thus making the import expenses less as they will produce what they always imported. and they should anyway start by providing basics like water and energy before they start handing out houses.

I agree with you that government should provide infrastructure and job but I also think that houses are important too, it's one of human basic needs. You can't expect someone to be able to work and make a living if his/her basic needs aren't fulfilled.

Just an observation... take south africa as an example. gov has a limited budget but they do stil build houses in a country that has an 80 percent unemployment rate. everyone already live somewhere, its not like they are all out on the street. when they have jobs, they can build their own houses but when there is no income, not even a free house can be sustained.

well, if you look at it cases by cases there are wide variety. but in general, i would state that a good government would, among others (jobs, food, etc), provide housing for their people. No offense but I don't think SA's government is a good one as they aren't really into improving the poor but I think they need to make a kind of symbolic gesture by for example building houses to not lose the trust of the poor who had supported them in the past. SA is quite industrialised that the government should instead distribute the wealth taken by the big companies by forcing them to provide jobs and services. The thing with countries like SA it seems that wealth gap is so huge, it's government's job to balance it.

poverty, my friend is here to stay. no man, no government can help in controlling this situation. where there are rich people, there is bound to be an army of visiting landlords.

This may sound bad, and I don't mean any disrespect by it. But poverty will never go away. There has to be a balance. If the entire world was rich or even just well off, who would do the dirty work that no one else wants to? Again, I know that sounds bad, but don't you see the logic in this? I think poverty sucks and I wish it didn't exist. And trust me, I've been in poverty myself. I've lived off of food stamps and lived in a run down apartment. So I am not saying this as someone who is well off. I have been there. But there is no better way to say this. Someone has to pick up the garbage and clean the toilets.

I guess the government's job is to prevent that volcano to erupt, while the ones who are in the race to earn money are more likely to be the big businesses. Unfortunately many government don't or can't prevent that eruption due to many things. To remove poverty we need a good government.

poverty is one of the basic existing n terrible phenomenon that no body can overcome this completely. we can decrease the rate of poverty by doing many rules or system that works only for those people those who r below the line of poverty.first we can make a system through which we can handle this situation. that system is according to the situation of the poor people.for this we can take the help of government resources.give him a real plan and really helps that person.we may go for the removing of the poverty part by part...not as a whole community.one of the system that we really need for them that is start a small and new project like work and engaged them in doing that kind of works that we assign them to work.this is possible only when government give us financial support.that project not limit in one place but also enhanced it to other states or localities that every poor people are working and take money owning to their own work.so we give idea and government give money.this is the ultimate solution in my opinion.moreover,we have lots of plan..this is only a part of this.

first of all government should force on the education ,whenever people will not be educated they can't understand how they improve their livng standard and earn more and more money.other country havu putted best effort for improving theit education level and finally they have made developed contry.
