What book are you reading right now? How is it? Do you read more than one book at a time? I love to read and am always fascinated by people's book choices. I am currently reading "Missing Mom" by Joyce Carrol Oates. I picked it because I had read her book, "The Falls" and loved it....I also read her book, "The Mulvaneys" and that one was pretty good too...tell me about your reading choices !

I'm reading "Pilates Wife". It's a great book about the woman married to Pontius Pilate. The woman who wrote it did very good with her research even though there is almost nothing about Pilate's wife and also very little about her husband. But, her research on Rome is very good. And, it's nice to see a story about Rome from a woman's point of view.

That sounds really intriguing. I love books that are related to history and historical events, especially if the research is well done. I am putting it on my list "To Read". Thank you.

I just finished reading it. It was very good until she got to the part where they moved to Judea. She began to write about Mary Magdalene and Jesus getting married and having a child, so I was disappointed that. Luckily, the story didn't revolve around that. I mean, I thought it was good that she gave a Roman point of view regarding Jesus, but I think she made a mistake with him getting married. Also, the ending was not as good as I would like. But, otherwise, I really enjoyed reading it until the last 30 pages (out of 368).

I am ready a book call Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky, it's about the French in WW2. It's a very delicate book with lots of observations. I enjoy reading novels in the wartime background, that just reminds me how ugly war is. I am totally in love with this book. :) Brilliantly written really.

Looks as if I may have to add another author to my list of "try this one" I have never read any of Joyce Carrol Oates books but they do sound interesting. I just read one by Tami Hoag and the one before that was The Heart-Shaped Box, written by Stephen Kings son Joseph(Joe Hill, pseudonym)King. I like John Grisham, John Saul, Dean Koontz, James Patterson, Stephen King, V.C.Andrews and a few others. I usually read 2 books a week or more. I don't get much sleep, most of my time is spent online or reading. Arthritis keeps me from going out as much as I used to. So I'm thankful I have these books to read.

I just finished 'Loop', but I haven't started anything else yet. Probably, the next one on my list will be 'Chronicle of the Pharaohs'. I rarely read non-fiction, but royalty intrigues me.

I too am an avid reader. Joyce Carrol Oates writes great books. I first read her work in high school. Right now I am just starting a book by Nora Roberts, called, "Northern Lights". The setting is in Alaska, and it looks very interesting. I can't wait to see where it leads. My favorite genre of reading though is historicals and historical romance. I have a thing for history.

I am reading Robert Jordan's series The Wheel of Time, I'm up to book 5 with 6 more to go! (plus one that hasn't been published yet) I dont think I could read more than one book at a time, I prefer to just read through one at a time. Sometimes if the book is really good I can read a book in one afternoon, but usually I take around a week. I've never really read much fantasy until last year when a friend of mine recommended the author David Eddings, his books are great and now I've started reading other fantasy authors as well. I would definitley recommend David Edding's series 'The Belgariad' followed by 'The Mallorean'.

Unusually for me, I'm currently between books. That means that I finished one this morning around 1:00 a.m., and I haven't chosen the next one yet. I usually have multiple books on the go, from multiple genres and subjects. I'm currently focused on Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" novels. I think there are 30-31 in the series currently, and I think I've read about 20 of them so far. Not in order, unfortunately, but I'm still enjoying them. I've finished the last one I have, so tonight I'll be reading something else. Not sure what yet, but I'll find something... :)

Im reading Valhalla Rising by Clive Cussler. Hes one of my fav authors. His books so fast paced, that sometimes i feel like i have to hurry flipping the pages to catch the next part of the story. Hes one those that had kept me awake all night & even when i just finished reading one of his book i cant wait to read another one of his. Though my taste for the kinds of books i read are somewhat varied. Hes one of those who stands out for me, ive collected most his novel books. I used to devour reading voraciously to the days end, even at times until it just fell off my hands bacause i drifted sleepily only to awaken to the sound of a thudding noise hitting the floor. There are other great books that i've read (as for me they are - no argument pls), but you just ask what currently is, so ill just stick to it.

Currently reading four or five books. The last thing I picked up though was Tamora Pierce's The Woman Who Rides Like A Man. The third book in her Song Of The Lioness quadrilogy. Good book, had it recoomended to me by my younger sister. It's got action, swordplay, magic, even touches of the romance genre. though the "incidents" are never gone into in any detail. Yet, and I don't expect them to be since this was first discovered on the shelves of high/junior highschool.

Right now I am reading "Judge and Jury" by James Patterson. I usually read more than one book at a time, but right now I am reading only one. I love to read and usually read everything that an author writes and then go on to a new author. Right now I am reading the latest books of the authors that I have already read.
