Want an inexpensive way to rid your house of flying insects that doesn't allow harmful pesticides to get into your carpet and furniture? Menacing bees, wasps, yellowjackets and hornets can be dropped to the ground instantly with a simple spray of Formula 409. Put the spout on "stream" and aim at the flying bug. When they fall to the ground, step on them, or squash them with the flyswatter safely.

Got a solution for flies, too? Last year was awful for them. I thought I had them because my sister's dogs live in my back yard, but I know people without animals that had a bad year too, and the season is quickly upon us.

we have them awfully bad this year already. I wish I did have a solution. If it had only been cold enough this winter to kill them all off.

That sounds great. I will tell my room mate that lives upstairs. her 4 year old son wants to play on his swing set but there is a wasp right near it. I will tell her to get this to see if it works.

If it's a wasp nest, be really careful. Looks can be deceiving, and there may be more in there than what it looks like.

We are going to have to try this one. I knew that lemon scented things would deter the flying insects to a great degree. Thanks for sharing this. I wonder what it is that makes them fall and be incapacitated? Should be great to try and hit them with the stream from the bottle.

I think the ammonia in the cleaner simply takes their breath away for a few moments. It doesn't kill them, just incapacitates them long enough that they fall to the ground where you can crunch them!

That would be alot cheaper than bug spray. Vinegar in water will take their breath and knock them down too.IT has to be sorta strong though. Thanks for sharing.

you are welcome. I am learning alot too. I added some tips, and someone else pops back with something else. Isn't it grand that we can all learn from each other?
