Do you screen your incoming calls?

Are you like me in the fact that I have to look at the caller I.D. and recognize a number before I will answer it. If not, I will let it go to voicemail and then check it before I call right back. I also have personalized ringtones for my close friends and family to differentiate between them and people who I may not want to talk to. When I was in high school, I even went so far as to record on my voicemail greeting that if you had a block number to unblock it before calling me so that I know who it is if you want me to pick up right away. Are you like that? or do you answer your calls right away? do you do something else to see if people you know are calling.

I screen all my calls. What I love is they come across my tv so all I have to do is look over and if I dont want to talk to the person or I do not know who it is I don't bother with it. My phone is already set up by the phone company to reject any call that does not show up on caller ID.

Now that's awesome. I like that you have it set up to display on your television. I think that's awesome. And it sounds awesome that your phone company actually rejects those blocked or unknown calls. That's something I should look into. hahaha

Yes, I do that. Hardly anyone has my phone number and if I don't see who it is, I don't answer it. Well, can't say I always don't answer it. Sometimes, someone I know likes to call using a landline with a blocked number. I seem to always "know" when they are calling.

At least you have that kind of instinct. I used to; one of my best friends would call sometimes from her home and it was blocked, but it was also at the same time everyday after she got off work, so I would go ahead and answer the call. I just like knowing who's calling, i guess.

Yes I do. I may not feel like talking to who is calling. If your number is blocked then I probably don't want to talk to you at all.

That's how I think, too. I also think "well, I know everyone's number who would be calling me, so who could possibly call me from another number." They also know better, too... if they want me to answer or call, then they shouldn't call from a number that's blocked or that I wouldn't recognize.

I always look at the caller ID when someone calls, except when it's someone that I have a special ringtone for. I think screening calls is a great time-saver for me not having to answer unnecessary calls. If I don't know who you are from the number you are calling from, I won't answer the phone most of the time. If you don't leave a message, I most likely will not call you back. I think if it's important enough, the caller will leave a message. The only times I answer calls from number I don't know is when I send out my resume, and am expecting unknown numbers to come in. Also, if I'm curious enough, or don't recognize the area code, I might pick up the phone. But, I don't like wasting my daytime minutes answering calls that I don't know.

I screen my incoming calls but answer regardless unless I know it is a telemarketing number as the same company tends to ring us obsessively for about a week. There are not many people nowadays that actually leave messages on voicemail, I know I don't for one and I rarely check my voicemail anyhow.

Yes,I screen all my calls,As I have a store I will answer if the phone number is in my area code, but if it is an 800 number, out of area or private number,I will wait for a message,if it is a work call or a friend on a different phone,I will answer. this stops me from being nasty to telemarketers.

Yes, I do that, our phone number is a Dealership phone number so we get a ton of calls during the day and then lately we have also been getting calls of a local church out here so our phone number must be similar to theres .. needless to say, we get more than our share of phone calls that are wrong numbers at our house so I try to screen all my calls, thank goodness for caller id.

Yes, I will screen all calls before I answered it. I will reject calls that I could not figure out the caller. Recently, I had been receiving a lot of Spam Marketing calls and they are trying to sell their banking services or they want to offer you free credit line and free credit card. I find it very irritating.

I do care for people who call me. So although i screen the incoming calls still i receive MOST of them as it is unpredictable to tell in what situation the caller is !!!

I usually check my caller ID before picking up the phone. There are companies apparently calling to collect money from people who once had this phone so they continually call us. Other times, the calls are mostly for other people in this household, so I check the ID to make sure I am giving the phone to the right person.

I always look to see who is calling. If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer it. Most of the time it turns out to be cold callers. I just can't be bothered wasting my time with them. I used to get annoyed when people would call for my hubby while he was at work. The same person kept calling him. It seems they didn't believe me when I told him he was working. Now, I just don't answer it. If it's not my hubby I just let it ring.

i just pick up my calls straight away even if it is unknown ID.last time i do not pick up.but now i have to because i am doing online business.so a lot of buyers would contact me to make orders.if i do not pick up i will just end up losing business.sometimes i do receive calls from courier company or phone company.sometimes even if you do not know that ID but that call might be so important and urgent.if i let it go over to my voice mail i would need to check it again.it do take away credits in my phone.so i will not check my voicemail even if i know there is any message left inside

I have caller ID so I definitely screen my calls. I hate telemarketers and I avoid them at all costs. The caller ID helps me screen them so I don't waste my time answering the phone and take time away from Mylot.

I just don't care who is calling me. I enjoy receiving my calls. Even if i get a wrong number, i like talking to the person. I mean, common! why are you so afraid to pick up your phone? No one is gonna come out of the phone and kill you right away.
