why don't you shave your head mom!!!

i was just taking a bath and shaving my legs and other places. of course you other mom's know it's hard to take a bath with out your little child walking in constantly. anyway my daughter stood there the entire time. why are you shaving your legs, why are you shaving there. i just replied cause i like to shave all the hair, it makes me feel cleaner. then she says well then shave the hair on your head too then. it was so funny. kids think things are so simple and to us it's so hard to explain the difference.

That is funny. My daughter used to come in the bathroom every time I went in there, no matter what I was doing. she used to ask me all kinds of questions too and I would have to come up with some kind of explanation for her at each age she had questions. Before long, I had to explain about them birds and bees. I think she learned alot in school though from other kids. She still aksed me questions though and I explained to her the best way I knew how. It sure isn't easy sometimes.

the one that i'm having a hard time explaining to a 3 year old is why i'm bleeding. she gets really upset cause she thinks i'm hurt when i'm changing a tampon. sorry if i'm grossing anyone out with this conversation but it's cute and sad that she gets so upset cause she thinks i'm really hurt.

i would shave my head too if my husband wouldnt kill me..it would make so much simpler..sdave on shampoo too...

That is really funny! Kids are so intrigued by everything at times! But it is amazing how they can think of this stuff so quick! It is a logical thought from the whole situation :)

It is fantastic how innocent children are. If you did shave your head she would not be at all ashamed of you and if anyone was to laugh at you then she owuld think it was them that had the problem as she would not understand how contraversial it would be.
It's fantastic when they are that age. But too soon the world will come and rip it away from her. Lol. SOrry for some reason that just popped into my head. The world can be tough!

I shaved my head once, it wasn't so bad at all, and it all grew back. Maybe you should take the plunge and do it for your daughter! Just kidding, but what a cute little girl you must have.

actually i did do it once. i was 16 and working in a summer camp kitchen with no air conditioning in the building. it was hot and i have really think long curly hair and it was driving me nuts. i hate the heat so i ended up shaving my head one day.
