When did you start to bring your kid to barbershop? Currently I cut my son't hair, but skill is not good. One reason I was trying to save some money, another reason kid will cry and scream in barbershop. I don't want my kid will be laughed or feel bad in the future. So when did you start to bring your kid to barbershop? How did you keep your kid stay in his seat and quite? Any suggestion?

Maybe you should take your son with you the next time you get your hair cut at the barbershop. Children love to imitate adults, so seeing you get your hair cut may make him want to do it, too. But when you take him, don't plan on getting his hair cut that same day. Tell him that it is only you gettig your hair cut and he can only watch. Only if he gets excited and wants to get his done should you do it in the same trip. If you force him to, he will feel you tricked him and not trust you; then it will be even harder in the future.

Thanks. But I feel it is even harder. I tried. He will run away while barber is cutting my hair. It ends up that I have to terminate my haircut and have ugly hair with me for one day at least until I go to barbershop again by myself.

Hi. george66. My son started going to the barbershop when he was two years old and older. He did wiggle some as he was getting his hair cut. I think that he cried too, but I can't remember. I sat there the whole entire time as my son got his hair cut. With me being there he was able to stay quiet and calm.

I tried to bring my son once to a salon for kids but it didn't workout. My son doesn't like to be in the salon and he wants me to cut his hair. Since I was the one cutting my eldest son when he was still toddler like my middle child now I know some knowledge of hair cutting. when my son turns 1 year old until now that he is 5 years old I am the one cutting his hair. I know he will overcome it just like what happened to my eldest son when he turns 7 yrs old he told me that he is ready to go to a barber shop.
