myLot Discussion: Do you START or do you RESPOND???

Here in mylot, we have plenty of options in mone-making. We could upload photos, we could refer our friends to join in and many more... But I guess the most dominant mode of earning in this site is by participating in the discussion board and to do this, one must start a new discussion or respond to an already existing discussion... What do you do more often??? Do you start a discussion or do you just respond?? Me, I do both but I respond more frequently - because sometimes I find it difficult to start something new...

It's much easier to respond to discussions than it is to start them. In the months that I've been here, I think I've started less than 20 discussions. I find it hard to find something that people can talk about. Responding to discussions is so much easier, and I've already responded to more than 10 of them since midnight. It's just after 2am here. I think I've been more active now than I have been in the past.

I agree. It is indeed a lot easier to answer to the immediately started discussions here at mylot.. However, I think it's still essential to start our own discussions.. And it makes me very happy when a lot people respond to my discussions.. It gives a good feeling of fulfillment..

What communication means, a two way traffic. While we just go for our voice to be listened I think that its our duty to listen the others. Having this thought, I just go for responding others, if I feel myself having something to participate. Off course, I also start my own discussions and love to have responses from others too. By doing this I feel I have somewhat contribution in the community. Don't know acceptable or not ;) LOL .. Thanks for giving me chance to share.

same here. When i was new here i used to spring up with a bunch whole new ideas. But now they've run down dry. Moreover mylot has these rules about not posting duplicate posts. So that keeps me from starting a discussion here.Even if i want to i gotta make lookup to see if i'm lucky. Responding to discussions is also fun except for when they dont read and comment on it.

I respond to discussions much more than starting one..I find it very easy..Because you ve already existing ideas in front of you to respond on..On reading that discussion alone can bring in lots of ideas to your head so that you can put a good response...But for strting a discussion, you need to think well for a topic which can attract people and gain lots of responses and you need to think of the better words you can put in that topic which can make people think and put up good responses...

I do both too.I prefer to start a new discussion. If you pay more attention on your own daily life and take notice of what your frineds' word when you have a conversation ,you might have enough topic that you can post in mylot.

Our daily life may indeed give us much to start with here at mylot. I really wish I could see much of those from you some of these days. Thanks for your response!

This is really a great paying site with a number of earning options. Quite intriguing too, because we don't really know how we are being paid for every activity we do, apart from uploading photos which is given a flat rate of 1 cent each. Anyways, I'm more of a responder here than a discussion starter. I seldom get numerous responses which makes me think if my discussions are not worth replying to, or because it doesn't get much exposure because a lot of threads start minute by minute.

I find it difficult to start discussions off although I've had a good response to those I have started. mainly I respond though. It's quicker and easier, and I find it easier to give a response to someone else's words. Some people totally blow me away with their discussions. They're articulate, well thought out, they raise some interesting points, and more often than not, they're interesting! It makes me wish I could do more discussions like that.

Yeah. Giving responses really is a lot easier than starting a new one. Some initiated discussions really quite intimidating but I think we should all try to do it our way... I guess that's one good writing practice...

I usually try to respond to about 10-20 discussions per day and then I will also try to start 3-5 discussions per day as long as I can think of something to discuss. On the other side of that though, my discussions are my number one focus meaning that once I have started one I pay attention to who responds and try to reply to as many as possible before I go out there and find something new to reply to. So on a point basis per myLot and the number after my name I respond more however if you counted up all of the replies to my own discussions I'm sure it would be a close race. I wish myLot actually gave us points for keeping our discussions going as well but they don't.

I often answer the discussions my friends started because I think it is a lot more easier than starting a new one that you would not even think if that will touch a person's heart. we do not know what the mylot users want to answer and if you're own discussion just became a hit, maybe that is luck for you have chosen a good discussion where almost everyone is interested. answering is more easy than starting a new discussion and I think it gives us more opportunities to express our own feelings regarding the topic. we can freely express our own ideas by answering rather than discussing because we have a limited option on defending our answer in our own discussion. in the end, i would love both even if discussing is a tough one, i think effort is just the key to success haha!

I do more of responding than starting a new discussion. I dont like starting an imaginary dicussions which gets me upset when I see some. I like real life discussions, and l tend to answer anyone that attracts my attention which l have quality input to make. I am a very busy person, as I work and still participate in mylot, so I dont really post much, however I dont mind how long it will take me to reach my minimum payout. Most times I see my participation here as fun and to really prove that one can make online money, which l havent made before.

There are some perceived discussions around here. Especially on new developments/researches about illness and those which affects the mind and health. Because of the population of mylot, the more imaginative ones can give way to their thoughts and ideas here, too. We can see entries about ghosts and perceptions about the ethereal and the out of this world concepts. I find it very challenging when items I have no knowledge of come about. Taking a peek into their discussions had made me better informed at the end of the peeking exercise. I can understand why you cannot do this since you have very limited time to spare here in mylot. Nonetheless, we appreciate the presence of members like you who are in for the fun of getting into informative discussions.

I understand that you dont have much time to post in here. However, I didnt really get your point when you mentioned 'imaginary discussions' which get you upset. I hope you could explain more about that.. Anyway, thanks for your response! Happy posting!

I'm still relatively new here so I haven't started creating many of my own discussion yet. I prefer responding right now, there's just so many different discussions occurring. Moreover, there are many interesting ones already and I find myself distracted when I do want to create my own topic. I don't think it matters too much money-making wise as long as the person enjoys what they're doing.

I think your case is a little different to the cases of other mylotters. Many mylotter [including me] actually chose to start up more discussions when we were new and eventually we find ourselves with almost nothing to start up when time went by.. Like many, I now just respond to existing discussions and start some discussions when something accidentally falls on my brain... LOL I hope you could someday find the courage the start up your own discussions...

Same here. I do more responding than starting my own discussions. I have never tried uploading photos yet because, I don't know how to do it so far. Neither have I been able to come up with any referrals. I still have zero in this respect until now. I have been a member since towards the end of January this year, and I have limited my earnings to posting discussions and responses only. It works fine for me anyway. While learning the intricacies, I'd better be working on the plane where I have some knowledge of doing.

It's easier also for me to respond to discussions rather than start one. I think I only have 10 or more than 10 started discussions. It doesn't bother me though as long as I participate in many discussions. I make it a point also to try to start even just one for a week.

HEy, i do both ways...since i just sit for 1-2 hra days, i try to reply to around 10-12 discussions and start my own discussions too..say 1 a day....though these are approx estimates, but i believe in doin both! i feel both are equally important!

I do a little bit of both. If I see something interesting in the news or have a dilemma, I try to share it and get other people's opinions. I do try to reply to all the discussions my friends start because that is the benefit of having friends.
